A: The cross bar is made of heavy aluminum and the shoot mount is brass. It's quite solid, which also means a little on the heavy side. I'm okay with that.

A: Unfortunately no. The 1.5 inch tripod needed the 8035-8 pier which is not made anymore.

Q: 5. Built in wi fi. So my laptop can control the mount and not use the hand control. ??

A: According to iOptron the Built-in Wi-Fi module allows you to control the mount via smartphones running controller app. Do not know if your laptop can download apps.

A: No, the iOptron 8" MiniPier for GoTo Mounts will not work with the iOptron GEM45 Equatorial GoTo Mount with 1.75" LiteRoc Tripod. Alternatively one can use the iOptron 6" MiniPier for CEM40/GEM45 Mounts, BH #IO8031 (https://bhpho.to/3pFRBXX).

Q: 9. Can these be used on a canon 60mm EFS 2.8 lenson a canon mark 2 or mark 3If so is there any problems with vignetting??

A: Technically you could mount the extension tube between the APS-C format (EF-S) lens you have and your full-frame camera, however we do no regularly encourage this combination as it will likely cause vignetting.

A: The iOptron 5.5 lb Counterweight for iEQ45/CEM60 EQ Mounts BH #IO802705 • MFR #8027-05 has a 1.1" hole and should work on the CEM70G shaft.

Almost a must have, with the extra height makes looking through scope at the median much easier, don't have to almost lay on the ground. Makes polar alignment easier. Just a win win. Easy to install, lightweight, helps keep your equipment from hitting the tripod legs during a median flip p 5

With the mini pier, I keep the LiteRoc legs fully retracted and the height of my 100mm refractor ends up about perfect. Very happy with the stability. 5

I love this mount! Its very portable and with an auto guider will image extremely well. Doesn't come with the feet in the photo sadly :( It comes with spike feet. 5

The Six-Inch Pier fit perfectly on my GEM45G mount. All necessary hardware is supplied, including a stainless-steel pin that threads into a hole on the outer circumference of the Pier. The pin is necessary for the opposing push-pull bolts of the mount to fine-adjust azimuth. 5

After my purchase of a new and longer telescope found a greater risk for mount stalls occurring if the scope was ever oriented more vertically during an imaging session, I decided that even though this pier was a bit short to provide complete clearance for the scope to avoid hitting a tripod leg, it would at least reduce the risk. However, it had a secondary benefit I'd not given thought to....those 3 ribs make great mount points for accessories I'd been using magic arms and clamps with to attach to the legs of my tripod. Now, I can more them higher to those ribs which are thinner and easier to attach a clamp to, while freeing up the legs to be more easily collapsed without removing anything. Convenient! 5

I got this mini pier to use with my AZ mount pro tripod since I got CEM40 mount. and it work really well. Also this mini pier provides an nice 8" extension that helps wmy larger refractor to clear tripod legs. 5

PERFECT ! It fits my iOptron 2 tripod perfectly. The iOptron AZ Pro rides well on this pier. Thought I was going to just use the top and bottom plate and find a longer pipe section to get it a little higher, but didn't need it for my Takahashi TSA-102. Here is a pic of the first test run. 5

Once again iOptron has come through with a very well built mount. The mount is rock solid with the available LiteRoc tripod. Handy aluminum case for the mount head. Setup is quick and easy. Go to and tracking are spot on. I am quite pleased with the iPolar alignment process. Quiet as a mouse and good looking too. Support from iOptron is excellent. Of course the B&H shopping experience was perfect as well. 5
