The Lockerstor Gen2 comes with a 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron N5105 Quad-Core processor. The N5105 comes with Intel's 10nm technology and is up to 31% faster than Gemini Lake SoCs. The Celeron N5105 is clocked at 2.0 GHz with a boost speed of up to 2.9 GHz, enabling efficient content creation with the added flexibility of 10 Gigabit Ethernet upgrades.

The Lockerstor Gen2 series of NAS devices come with four M.2 slots for caching, storage, or both. Either use all slots for one purpose or mix and match depending on your needs. Four M.2 SSD slots bring a number of custom scenarios to your NAS when it comes to accelerating your storage.

With up to four SSDs, a considerable amount of heat can be generated. With extra ventilation, the Lockerstor Gen2 ensures that all components in your NAS receive cooling.

[Yes] I'm an electrical engineer and work from home and this fit my need s perfectly. I have two networks, one secure network for business and the other for home. This NAS has 4 NICs (2x 10Gbe) and (2x2.5Gbe) which would allow me to manage the NAS for 4 independent networks. I configured it with (5) 4 TB drives configured for RAID 5 and I opted to install two 512 GB Samsung 970 Pro NVMe M.2 512 GB SSDs configured to operate as a cache for the RAID system. 5

[6.735 lb] I purchased the 6 bay because it held 6 drives, plus the 4 NVMe drives. This is a great quality unit, a commercial product. If you are expecting a open box plug and use storage, this is not that. I have populated it with 16Gb of ram, 4 - 2T FireCuda 530 NVMe drives in RAID 5, and 6 - Seagate IronWolf Pro 8 TB drives for RAID 6. It does take hours to build the RAID 5 and a day to build the RAID 6. The is not unexpected. Quality, Quiet, Cool, excellent tools with notifications and remote access. Exactly what I wanted. 5

[1x 70 mm Fan] I was looking for a new NAS that checked a few boxes. Expandability, decent price point and good features. This NAS checked them for me. From the updated jasper lake cpu, from the, 10gbe or (inc. 4 m.2 slots), the 2.5 x 2 lan ports USB 3.2 ports. This synology and the QNAP equiv I found underwhelming or not available. Would buy again.- 5
