This built-in user interface comes standard on all AXION system switchers; setting up a video distribution system has never been less challenging.

Managing HDMI signals can be challenging, interoperability between sources and displays, changes in signal type coming from different types of content to Hollywood protection with HDCP; each one of these things can cause havoc on your installation. With AVPro Edge's AXION System, the power is back in the hands of the installers.

ICT is a technology developed to ensure 18Gb/s distribution over standard category cable. That means what you put in is what you see on the screen. No need to worry about compression artifacts and banding like you find with other compression methods.

This matrix supports all flavors of HDR in all formats. Including HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, BBC, and NHK. All of them are permitted in up to 4k 60 Hz and up to 12-bit Deep Color. All color space compressions are compatible.

With 29 onboard EDID's, including HDR EDID's, not getting a picture is simply a thing of the past. You can manage the input side of the switch by selecting a preloaded EDID. It also can instantly read an EDID from any connected display and apply it to the desired input, all with the push of a button.

The front panel allows you to do basic configurations, including EDID, Audio, Matrixing, and network. All without connecting a PC or hooking anything up. This additional mode of control is a welcome resource on the job site.

With MCS technology, the power is given to the integrator to choose what types of signals end up on the screen. Scaling is ideal when working with different kinds of TVs and Projectors in the same system.

There is no need to set your source to 2-channel, no matter what kind of audio this matrix switcher receives. Converting audio to 2-channel in the matrix allows you to deliver Dolby Atmos sound to a home theater and 2-channel audio to a bedroom simultaneously.

The user can extract 2-channel PCM audio from each output. NOTE: the analog port only supports 2CH PCM. It features four digital optical TOSLINK outputs with support for 7CH LPCM, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital +, DTS, DTS Master Audio.

Extracted audio routing options include:

  • Bind to output (extracted audio swaps with the video, this is the default mode)
  • Bind to input (extracted audio is fixed to the corresponding input by the same number)
  • Independent (extracted audio is routed however integrators like and there are commands to allow it to function as a separate matrix)

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I am looking for the product to be used outside to weight down exterior sandwich/billboard signs and tent legs. Would this work?

A: Yes.... Don't know how big your tent is.., I'm sure you would have to buy quite a few but they will definitely work.

Q: 2. Will this unit test the shield on a shielded Cat6?

A: I did not purchase this unit, I bought the lower unit dedicated to analog audio. Your answer may be best answered by the manufacturer. On my balanced audio cables it does not test the shield.

Q: 3. Can this test cables with different connector types on each end? For example XLR on one end and TRS on the other.

A: Yes, you can test cables with different connector types on each end.

Q: 4. Does the tone generator send the tones on all of the connectors, including the RJ45? Can one use an inductive probe to trace wires with the generated tones?

A: Yes it sends a tone on RJ45. The tone is only to signal 1st line as it cycles through the 8 lines of ethernet cable. The additional continuity is tested using the 8 led's

Q: 5. Is there a frame available for the 18 x 48 flag?

A: 539287 is the frame empty

Q: 6. Will this work with Mellanox Connect-X6 / Connect-X5 cars on Windows?

A: The RocketStor 6661A Thunderbolt 3 to PCIe 3.0 Expansion Chassis is only compatible with macOS/OS X systems.

Q: 7. Does the tone generator create a 1Khz tone for audio unity sweep purposes?

A: Yes, as per Kopul; the test tone is -50dB/-10dB/+0dB at 1khz.

Q: 8. I have one of these and the fan is really loud. Is there any way to make it quieter?

A: The fan speed of the HighPoint RocketStor 6661A Thunderbolt 3 to PCIe 3.0 x16 Expansion Chassis is not user adjustable.

Q: 9. Does this tester serves for SDI HD cable? RG-59

A: The CBT-MF cable tester is designed to test XLR, 1/4 , RCA, Speakon, RJ45, RJ11, MIDI and BNC terminated cable. RG-59 coax cable is generally terminated by BNC connectors and continuity in these cables can be tested with this unit.

Q: 10. Does this case have rails for hanging file folders?

A: Unfortunately this case does not have rails for hanging file folders.

I have ordered two of these units for use in slide/film scanning. The first one shipped without an optional AC power unit. When I ordered the second unit I also ordered the AC adapter. However, the light arrived in a kit form with the AC adapter included. DO NOT order a separate AC adapter until you know what they are sending.

Big, solid and dependable. Bought it new in 1988, had cold light head, color head for it. Used from 1988-2001. Put it in storage until recently and still works like the day I bought it. Because of the size I gave it away to someone who is just getting into 4x5 film. Very few people are looking for the chassis now, very expensive to ship. Full frame digital has pulled me away from film otherwise I would have found a way to use the enlarger.

I bought this case to move an existing NAS from an ITX tower into a rack mountable case. I had (5) 3.5 drives to mount. I found a (3) 3.5 to (2) 5.25 bay adapter with matching hexagon venting (the black isn't a perfect match, but good enough for a rack) and was able to add another 80mm fan. I thought I would only be able to fit one drive on top of each of the 3.5 cages making this adapter necessary. With an ITX board I was able to fit two drives in each of the 3.5 bays. The drive bay adapter brings the total capacity up to (7) 3.5 drives which seems insane for a short depth 2U case.

I already had a SFX power supply with an SFX to ATX adapter which allowed for some extra room. A 24-pin extension was necessary to reach the motherboard. I don't think this would be an issue with a standard ATX power supply.

It definitely feels like a cheap case. For the price I'm not complaining at all. My only gripe is I wasn't able to find rails that were compatible with my shorter depth rack (Tripp Lite SWR15US). I overcame this by mounting a shelf on the rear posts of my rack to support the back of the case which makes getting this in and out of the rack much easier.

Overall a great case. I couldn't find anything else able to support (5) 3.5 drives in a short depth 2U chassis for even double the price.

I have purchased 6 of these I the last 5 months. I only took about 20 minutes to do the build from start to finish with this case. Tool less is true, 100 %. some people claim the external 3.5 is useless, but I have had no problem with putting in multi card readers in this space. I will continue to buy these for all my customer workstations I make, until they stop making this case. I don't know what I will do then, so In Win, please don't stop making these.

Exactly what I expect from SKB. Was looking for an 8U case that wasn’t full depth, and this one delivers. Handle and wheels a nice bonus. Light and durable. All good things.

This review listed in here by the other person who claims the light has issues, was clearly neglecting the light badly and had no idea how to use it. These are tough, well made lights, as well as having an excellent CRI.
