The 300 gsm environmentally friendly paper features bagasse fibers, a byproduct of sugar cane processing. It's natural white and does not contain optical brighteners, and it has a clearly defined felt structure and tactile feel.

The matte premium inkjet coating delivers excellent print results with defined reproduction of color and detail, particularly for warm hues and monochrome prints. The paper is compatible with pigment and dye inkjet systems. A: This may be due, at least in part, to your printer's color profile calibration as well.

Q: 6. What's the single sided equivalent of this paper? It has more texture than the ultra smooth but less than the standard photo rag. Just wondering because I love this paper but don't need double sided. Thanks!

A: The manufacturer, Hahnemühle, applies a coating for printing on one side of the Hahnemühle Photo Rag Bright White 13 x 19" Paper (310GSM, 25 Sheets) (B&H# HAPRBWSB25). This is therefore listed as single sided for the purpose of printing as the best results can only be obtained printing on the coated side of each sheet.

Q: 10. I have an Epson printer stylus 1400, and old one . What is the maximum thickness of photo paper that I can use in my printer ?

A: The Epson Stylus 1400 can handle papers from .003 to .004 inches or .08 to .11 mm in thickness. If you're interested in Hahnemuhle Photo Luster 290, it is 290 microns in thickness. or .29 mm, so the Epson Stylus 1400 cannot handle that thickness. You can use Epson photo papers if they are within the specs and I believe most are for that printer series. The thickness should be indicated on the box or in the specs for the paper.

[83.5%] I tested all three natural fiber matte papers. I thought Agave had the widest dynamic range, produced a whiter white, and had this really random and natural texture. It is a superb paper. 5

[25x Sheet Paper] on a recommendation from michael at Tricera in Vancouver i tried this paper for the reproduction of original wet plate images. in my experience it's impossible to reproduce that 3rd dimension in the original plates on glass or aluminum. instead of pursuing what i saw as a dead end, i called michael and he walked me through the options. the hahnemuhle agave has given me another way of seeing the prints as i would like to see them represented in an approximation of the originals. what i love about wet plate is the imperfections. what i love about hahnemuhle agave is that it delivers that imperfection in just the right balance. also, it doesn't come from trees . 5

[25x Sheet Paper] The texture of Hahnemuhle's sugar cane paper gives my photos an artistic quality, making them more attractive to art collectors. The archival nature of this paper also appeals to serious collectors. [25x Sheet Paper] I'll leave the science to someone else, let's talk intantangibles. Agave has a feel, texture and tonality that lens itself to toned B&W imagery. For me it's that beautiful, subtle, thiourea toner look we strived for in wet prints. On an image with lots of lighter tones, on Agave, we can add just a little highlight warming in post, leaving the blacks alone and get these stunning warm prints, with this beautiful paper texture that creeps through those areas with little to no image detail. 5

[Matte] Just tried Hahnemule Agave Fine Art paper for first time with excellent result using an Epson 3880 printer. The image tones are rich and colors accurate. Peoples first reaction on seeing the images was WOW! The paper feels luxurious. 5

[300 gsm] I needed art cards to be made for a jewelry display. I needed something thick and with tooth similar to watercolor papers. I tried a lot of papers and this one won out. It was a perfect choice as it makes the digital texture look like art itself! 5
