The 25-sheet pack of 11 x 17" Hahnemuhle Sugar Cane FineArt Inkjet Paper 11x17from Hahnemuhle Sugar Cane FineArt Inkjet Paper 11x17features warm-toned sheets made with 70% sugar cane fibers and 30% cotton. The 300 gsm environmentally friendly paper features bagasse fibers, a byproduct of sugar cane processing. It's natural white and does not contain optical brighteners, and it has a clearly defined felt structure and tactile feel.

The matte premium inkjet coating delivers excellent print results with defined reproduction of color and detail, particularly for warm hues and monochrome prints. The paper is compatible with pigment and dye inkjet systems. Q: 5. With the rounded edges with this paper, can I print borderless, without seeing the rounded edges using my Epson HD-15000 photo ?

A: The Hahnemuhle FineArt Pearl FineArt Photo Cards (4 x 6", 30 Cards), BH #HAFP46285, is not compatible with borderless printing. For borderless printing, the paper has to be rectangular shaped.

Q: 6. I have an Epson printer stylus 1400, and old one . What is the maximum thickness of photo paper that I can use in my printer ?

A: The Epson Stylus 1400 can handle papers from .003 to .004 inches or .08 to .11 mm in thickness. If you're interested in Hahnemuhle Photo Luster 290, it is 290 microns in thickness. or .29 mm, so the Epson Stylus 1400 cannot handle that thickness. You can use Epson photo papers if they are within the specs and I believe most are for that printer series. The thickness should be indicated on the box or in the specs for the paper.

Q: 7. how many sheets are in this box?

A: There are 30 sheets in this box.

Q: 8. How accurate is the white and is there a color shift regardless of printer?

A: The Photo Luster 290 Inkjet is 110% white and the image will fade over time, unless using a glaze that rejects UV light.

Q: 9. Could the round cornered cards be printed borderless directly? Or some work around?

A: Yes, the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta FineArt Photo Cards can be printed borderless.

Q: 10. How many pieces of paper in the box? or how many posters could you print?

A: This box contains one roll of paper, which is 24 inches wide by 39 feet long. The number of posters you can print with this item depends on the size of the posters you plan to create.

[2.785 lb] I've been using Hahnmuhle paper for nearly two decades. I'd tested previously Bamboo and enjoyed its warmth but I desired a more textured option, albeit with less texture than German Etching. This is the ideal paper for me: warm, great texture, great handling, and carries an image very well. This paper will become a standard for me. 5

[2.785 lb] Straight off, I wondered it the profile would be close to those for Agave or Bamboo-Nope! So I downloaded the available Hahnemhle profile and it was fine. I will profile the paper myself to see if I can eke out a tiny improvement over the canned one. It's nice to have one more slightly different paper base to turn to in terms of paper color and texture. Reading the literature, I discovered that I had completely missed another Hahnemhle product based on a fourth alternative fiber source, sugar cane! Seems not to be available any more. I regret not having been able to try it. 5

[2.785 lb] I love the subtle texture of the sugar cane. It doesn't do as well with deep shadow areas as the Photo Rag but it is still a lovely paper. I purchased on box and ordered more afterward. 5

[25x Sheet Paper] I'll leave the science to someone else, let's talk intantangibles. Agave has a feel, texture and tonality that lens itself to toned B&W imagery. For me it's that beautiful, subtle, thiourea toner look we strived for in wet prints. On an image with lots of lighter tones, on Agave, we can add just a little highlight warming in post, leaving the blacks alone and get these stunning warm prints, with this beautiful paper texture that creeps through those areas with little to no image detail. 5

[Matte] I tested all three natural fiber matte papers. I thought Agave had the widest dynamic range, produced a whiter white, and had this really random and natural texture. It is a superb paper. 5

[Single] The texture of Hahnemuhle's sugar cane paper gives my photos an artistic quality, making them more attractive to art collectors. The archival nature of this paper also appeals to serious collectors.
