[1] An Elvid 7 on camera monitor is mostly used for indoor movie sets so wall power is practical. Occasionally need a battery for movie sets set up in the yard but I can get by with only one battery. 5

[12 VDC at 2 A] This works perfectly with my smallhd monitor You may need to mount the monitor with one of the side screws tho, this plug may get in the way at the bottom of the monitor. I understand why smallhd recommended the Faux Battery style adapter as it would be more out of the way of the bottom mounting screw of the monitor that way 5

[1] I have the SmallHD 702 Bright which I bought as a kit from B&H that included the LP-E6 to D-Tap adapter. I currently don't have a used to the D-Tap adapter, but, I occasionally need a wall plug. Can't think of a better solution. 5
