Q: 10. Can the LED light be switched OFF with the magnifier in the extended position, or is it automatic ON/OFF with extension/retraction only?

A: To activate the LED light on the Carson PO-55 5x MiniBrite Pocket Magnifier, you may slide down the protective sleeve until you hear a click, which will reveal the lens and activate the LED light. If you do not want to use the LED light, you can slide the protective sleeve down, but do not click the unit into place or expose the LED light.

[70mm] I bought this to see if my sensor needed cleaning. I done the sky test but I wanted to see if I needed to clean my sensor. You can see the dust with this to see if you cleaned it. 5

[2.5x] I was longing to have one but did not know where to find it. There were many online stores, but which brand is the best without B&H provided. I hope Kaiser 8x Base Magnifier Loupe is the best every household should have, especially for those who interested to observe anything detail. 5

[2.5x] Portable and useful with no obvious imperfections in the lenses, and they can be used individually or in stacks. They're best held up to the eye, not over the object being examined. I wish the magnification were marked adjacent to each lens, though it's easy enough to figure out which is which. The lenses are 3x, 5.5x, and 8.5x, and if I have the math right, this is equivalent to 8, 18, and 30 diopters. All stacked together you get 56 diopters or 15x magnification. (Diopters add, and to convert between magnification M and diopters D the formula is M = D/4 + 1. A diopter is also the reciprocal of the lens focal length in meters.) 5

[2.5x] This is a great loupe. It is completely plastic, but provides excellent clarity. When rested down, image may not be in exact focus. But raise it a tiny bit, and image comes into perfect focus, especially in the dead center. It is very small and light, and the box says it is made in Spain. I got it on a daily deal, and it was a very good deal. It comes in very handy in looking at tiny things close up (jewelry making, tiny etchings, coins, insects, etc.) 5

[2.5x] Used it to help clean the sensor.� The red light would show more dust, but at times the white led were better for cleaning to apply light into the sensor and mirror box.� The loupe was larger than the opening for the lens, but when left above the light and magnification was great and in focus for use. 5
