The Platypod eXtreme has seven 1/4"-20 threaded mounting sockets, allowing a variety of camera mounting options, as well as to add accessories like microphones or even lights to complete a setup. Three are also two countersunk, unthreaded holes for using #8 or 10 wood screws for more permanent mounting.

The spiked feet are pre-mounted in metal hinges that allow them to rotate into multiple positions. The stainless steel feet are spiked on one end but feature non-marring rubber feet on the other end. They are interchangeable with Max and Ultra series spikes.

The open belt loop slots make it easy to strap the Platypod eXtreme into position quickly without wasting time by threading straps through holes.

A large cutout at the top of the plate adds easy carrying capability while reducing product weight. Multiple carabiner position options make it easy to carry hands-free.

[1.32 lb] First of all, I was impressed to get the package so quickly. During these times everything takes forever, but this came within 7 -10 days! I love the product. The fact that is stackable is amazing. It is flexible but strong. That is great! I just wish I had ordered an adapter to connect it to the device I need to use it with. 5

[Black] One online image showed lights attached. I realized that they weren't included ("in the box" is invaluable tool). But I expected them to be listed as an accessory, but were not. Okay, I'm being REALLY picky at literally THE best online ordering website IN THE WORLD, for ANY product (take THAT Amazon)! But... if you could be so kind as to identify the pictured lights, I would be most appreciative? As far as the goosenecks are concerned, they are sturdy and well made. Look forward to using with the pictured lights. 5

[1.32 lb] Works great when you need to get very low to the ground. I prefer using the Platypod for ground/water shots instead of my tripod. Note: (1) make sure you order the correct size and (2) you will need to supply your own head unit. 5
