The Slik Pro AL-324-3WFC Aluminum Tripod with Pan-Tilt Headfrom Slik Pro AL-324-3WFC Aluminum Tripod with Pan-Tilt Headis a versatile tripod with a load capacity of 8.8 pounds and a maximum height of 67" with the center column fully extended. The legs feature flip-lock joints for quick setup and the Rapid Flip Mechanism (R.F.M.) allows the legs angles to be spread for easy leveling on uneven surfaces, or for shooting from low angles. The center column is removeable and reversible for shooting with the camera inverted to almost ground level. The center column is made up of two segments, the short column section allows the legs to be spread for very low perspective shooting.

The included SH-747HC 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head is Arca-type compatible and includes a quick release plate. It allows precision movement on each axis individually, without changing the other axis settings. The adjustable friction capability adds smooth movement, well suited to panoramic shooting and video applications.

A: Unfortunately, the quick release plate from the Pro 700 DX tripod will only work on the SBH-808DQ, and the Pro 700 DX head.

[Yes] This is a plastic, cheap tripod which will not stand up to the toughest field use. So why 5 stars? Because I don’t need a rugged, precision built tripod with a quality fluid head which can support a 7-pound ENG video camera. I already have one of those. I found myself needing just-enough tripod to hold a static, second video camera for a music performance. This is perfect for that. The head is smooth enough for an unartful pan with a wide focal length, but I didn’t even try that. You get what you pay for, and this product meets that immediate need. 5

[Pan & Tilt Head] I purchased this tripod to replace another Leopold compact that I was using on location. I like the speed of the lever locks on the legs and the fact that the post is reversible - features the more expensive Leopold lacked. In spite of the fact the Leopold had graphite legs, I feel they are comparable in weight. Plus the legs were getting loose. I've used Slik in the past and have always been impressed with their quality and longevity. This will be my new go-to tripod for location work. 5

[Yes] For precision rifle shooting I've discovered the value of tripod support. I have a large, heavy tripod for the purpose, but this one is 2/3 the size and weight and is therefore much more suitable for hikes in the country. It obviously isn't as rigid as the large one, but with a small Arca-Swiss head, I still get results that are almost as good as shooting from a bench rest. I was hesitant about buying yet another tripod, but this quality product serves the purpose very well and I'm completely satisfied. 5

[Pan & Tilt Head] I've had this tripod for over 10 years now and I've never had any problems with it. It's a basic tripod with very few bells and even fewer whistles. The legs go up and they go down. You can swivel your camera 360 degrees, or point it up towards the sky or down to the ground and have no worries about locking eveything into place. There's nothing fancy about this thing and if I were going into a war zone, this isn't the tripod that I would want with me. But for normal things like taking pictures at home or ordinary landscape photography where you can respect your equipment, you won't find much better than this one for the price. 5
