The Cobalt BBG-1050-EMDE-ANC 3G/HD/SD-SDI Embedder/De-Embedderoffers full VANC/HANC ancillary data de-embedding and embedding for 3G/HD/SD-SDI streams. The easy-to-use UI allows direct access to DID and SDID locations to extract or insert user data such as camera PTZ, SCTE 104, closed captioning read/insert, GPI/GPO via ANC, or other specialized user payloads.

Data insertion and extraction happen via serial or IP interface. The BBG-1050-EMDE-ANC can be remote-controlled using DashBoard. The compact standalone form factor allows for desktop usage, as well as its 1/3-rack size that allows three units to be installed in a 1 RU space (an optional mounting tray is available and provides secure mounting of the units  on a standard 19" frame).

A: I use this device for connecting various computers to my professional video switching systems. Yes, whatever the input is, the output is a stable signal at a number of different standards, including 1080p @29.97.I haven't run across any problems with HDCP blocking my use of the signal.That said, I don't recommend using ANY product to bypass HDCP protocols.YMMV....Good luck!Kevin Lawson

A: Hi Jacques. While we haven't tested the OMX-05HMHM0001 with the DACMagic unit specifically, we don't foresee any issues. You should be able to connect the TOSLINK output of the OMX-05HMHM0001 right to the input of our DACMagic Plus unit and the extracted audio signal should pass without issue as long as the DACMagic supports the audio format being output. Q: 3. is it anamorphic or can you take a 1080 16x9 and do a 4x3 cut?

A: If the inputted HDMI signal is 16x9 it should output the video to 4x3 with letter boxing on the top and bottom.

A: No, this will not link those products. It is an audio deembedder.

A: Unfortunately this product does not list that sort of capability. What is listed in the manual is the following, "HDCP encrypted HDMI sources are not supported by this device. If a connected HDMI source requires HDCP the outgoing video signal will result in a black screen."

Q: 9. Will output the extracted audio to both the optical and L/R out at the same time? I want to pass the audio to headphones and a hearing aid broadcaster at the same time.

A: Yes. Audio format must be set for 2ch top accommodate both audio at sometime.
