The Lectrosonics DSR Two-Channel Digital Slot Receiver 961-1014 MHz UKis a lightweight two-channel digital slot receiver engineered for mobile sound production, sports video, reality TV, and anywhere a wireless system must provide mission-critical signal stability and clear, transparent 24-bit / 48 kHz sound. It is compatible with the company's mono digital transmitters (DBSM, DBu, DHu, DPR, DPR-A) and stereo digital transmitters (DCHT, M2T), and backward compatible with any Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitter.

The DSR provides two independent receiver channels at the highest level of RF and audio performance available—versatile field-proven feature set, selectable AES3 or analog mic-/line-level outputs, and next-generation capabilities in the Unislot/Superslot form factor—for ENG, field, and location production. Settings can be made from the front panel with tactile buttons and a color LCD interface, making the unit ideal for use in portable bag systems, mounted in or on cameras, and on sound carts. The built-in RF spectrum analyzer and SmartTune function help you quickly find a clean frequency to alleviate interference problems in an increasingly congested RF spectrum.

  • The mechanical design of the DSR fits into the Superslot ecosystem and combines field-proven features developed over many years of experience in motion picture and television production. To decrease weight, the DSR packs two channel receivers in one unit powered by external DC.
  • The 2-way IR sync makes quick work of setting up matching transmitters.
  • The machined aluminum housing and panels are surfaced with a hard-anodized finish with laser etched markings to withstand the rigors of field production.

  • The DSR's Vector Diversity subsystem smoothly and continuously combines RF signals from two receiver front ends per channel, with differing phase angles in order to obtain maximum energy. Not only does this method deliver clean, artifact-free performance in all modes, it is actually able to take two signals compromised by multipath interference and reassemble them into a usable signal.
  • The two RF gain stages in the front end of each audio channel provide low-noise RF amplification, excellent sensitivity, and extremely low susceptibility to intermodulation and desensitization.

  • The DSR offers one of the highest Third-Order (IP3) performances at +11 dBm, compared with +5 to +8 dBm provided by typical audio RF receivers. High IP3 performance allows the receiver to better eliminate the negative impact caused by third-order intermodulation artifacts and have a better signal-to-noise ratio, more reliably in today's tough RF environments.

  • SmartTune is the easiest and fastest way to scan the local RF spectrum and find clear operating frequencies. The receiver scans through its tuning bandwidth and automatically finds empty areas within the tuning range that have little or no RF energy. The receiver will then set itself to a frequency within an empty area and prompt you to continue or use the IR function to sync to a transmitter.

  • With a noise floor at -120 dBV and a frequency response up to 20 kHz, high-frequency noise in the source audio is more apparent than in conventional wireless systems. The SmartNR algorithm has three modes. When Off, no noise reduction is performed. When Normal is selected, enough noise reduction is applied to remove most of the hiss from the mic preamp and some of the hiss from lavalier microphones. When Full is selected, enough noise reduction is applied to remove most of the hiss from nearly any signal source of reasonable quality, assuming levels are set correctly at the transmitter.

  • The DSR offers compatibility with the D-Squared and Duet digital transmitters, including the DBu, DHu, DPr, DCHT, DBSM, and M2T.
  • There is backward compatibility with any Digital Hybrid wireless transmitters including the SM and SMWB series, WM, HM Series, MM400 Series, HHSeries, LT, LMb, UM400 Series, and SSM.

[Auto-Scan] The 822 does everything that is advertised. It sounds great, backwards compatible with all the hybrid digital Lectro. The feature I love most is it records. Should there ever be an issue with my mixer, this receiver can save the day.

[25 kHz] Made this my official first Lectro Receiver!
Right out the gate, out of all Lectro interfaces i've interacted with this is one of the nicest ones I've used! Just having the buttons alone makes it a breeze instead of having to push into the usual press-in controls that we're used to on previous Lectro devices. The menu is fantastic and versatile as well! As far as I have been able to use it in the field it seems to get me pretty dang good results as far as distance and quality goes (paired with the DBu and DBSMD). Not to mention the option to record onto the receiver! As soon as I got to use this I was in a situation where I had to attach it to a camera since no one else but camera was allowed in the building following an NFL player. Worked like a charm.

[Slot-Mount] This is my first Lectrosonics purchase after doing some extensive research on upgrading my previous setup. This has exceeded my expectations in every way. Not only do I use it for filming but I also use it at our church at it works flawlessly! The sound difference is beyond just noticeable. For the first time in 19 years we have no dropouts with a lapel mic.

[Aluminum] Amazingly reliable reception and lower overall noise compared to SRC's and 411's.

[53 MHz] I bought the SRC as my first dual receiver having used the SRB a few times beforehand.

The long and short of this thing is that it’s a workhorse that is accurate in its scanning and compatibility with devices is fantastic.
The one downside to this thing is that it still has the trouble with Walkie-talkies if they are used too close to it. So be aware of your proximity to two-way radios.
I can’t recommend this product enough. Truly the best tech Lectrosonics has to offer.

I use this in an ENG bag for reality tv and it helps with cutting the weight down from the old 411a receivers. Also the versatility of the bottom plate adapters lets you use it in a camera slot, a rack mount, or for firmware updates. A must buy.

[Aluminum] This is not my first SRc. It's my 7th (4 in one bag, 3 in the other), as I keep adding channels to my inventory. With plenty of transmitters on hand, I needed to add two extra receiver channels to my secondary sound package. I'm all-in on Lectrosonics and the A1 block for talent wireless.

I use the SRc with SMDWB and SMWB transmitters.

Menu navigation is intuitive. Build quality is top-notch. The SREXT back plate is easy to install for immediate integration into a bagged sound package.

There's been plenty of chatter about signal range with the SRc not quite being up to snuff as compared to the lauded 411a, but both my sound packages have antenna distribution with PSC RF Multi and Betso Bowties, and I have no issues with signal range.

Even with the newer all-digital systems hitting the market (822, DSQD), there's still plenty of life in digital hybrid.

[Aluminum] I've owned a number of different Lectrosonics receivers. SRa, SRb, SRc, LR, and DCR822. The DSR4 performs excellently even when receiving 4 different signals in different compatibility modes. You can also set 2 pairs of channels to diversity mode for even more robust reception (at the cost of 2 channels). The screen is bright and responsive. It works with basically every Lectro transmitter that's been made (analog and digital), and you can mix and match compatibility modes for each channel. You can even receive individual channels from a duet system like a DCHT. I have had really positive experiences using this receiver out in the field, highly recommended.

[>85 dB] I was using a G4 and needed some more mics. There are a lot of options out there but these just work. I wanted something with good range and no dropout issues. I got these for one thing and now I use them for everything. They are crystal clear. I started using them at church also and there is no issue even with everyone on wireless devices. It is my first Lectrosonics system but definitely not my last.
