The Lectrosonics DSR4 Digital Slot Receiver 537-691 MHzis a lightweight quad-channel digital slot receiver engineered for mobile sound production, sports video, reality TV, and anywhere a wireless system must provide mission-critical signal stability and clear, transparent 24-bit / 48 kHz sound. It is compatible with the company's mono digital transmitters (DBSM, DBu, DHu, DPR, DPR-A) and stereo digital transmitters (DCHT, M2T), and backward-compatible with any Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitter.

The DSR4 provides four independent receiver channels at the highest level of RF and audio performance available, a versatile, field-proven feature set, selectable AES3 or analog mic-/line-level outputs, and next-generation capabilities in the Unislot/Superslot form factor for ENG, field, and location production. Settings can be made from the front panel with tactile buttons and a color LCD interface, making the unit ideal for use in portable bag systems, mounted in or on cameras, and on sound carts. The built-in RF spectrum analyzer and SmartTune function help you quickly find a clean frequency to alleviate interference problems in an increasingly congested RF spectrum.

  • The mechanical design of the DSR4 fits into the Super-Slot ecosystem and combines field-proven features developed over many years of experience in motion picture and television production. To decrease weight, the DSR4 packs four channel receivers in one unit powered by external DC.
  • The 2-way IR sync makes quick work of setting up matching transmitters
  • There is a built-in TA5 male connector on the faceplate for use with cameras or other docks not offering analog audio channels through the slot connector—channels 3 and 4, external audio outputs
  • The machined aluminum housing and panels are surfaced with a hard-anodized finish with laser etched markings to withstand the rigors of field production.

  • For versatility, the DSR4 offers both antenna Phase Switching diversity (4-channel operation) or Vector diversity (2-channel operation).
  • 4-channel operation: each channel combines signals from both antennas in or out of phase, depending on field strength at each antenna and which combination yields the best results.
  • 2-channel operation: receivers can be paired for Vector diversity mode. The Vector subsystem smoothly and continuously combines RF signals from both channels, with differing phase angles in order to obtain maximum energy.
  • It is possible to have one Vector pair (say, channels 1 & 2) and two independent antenna phase channels (say, 3 & 4) for a total of 3 channels of independent operation.
  • The two RF gain stages in the front end of each channel provide low-noise RF amplification, excellent sensitivity, and extremely low susceptibility to intermodulation and desensitization.

  • The DSR4 offers one of the highest Third-Order (IP3) performances at +15 dBm, compared with +5 to +8 dBm provided by typical audio RF receivers. High IP3 performance allows the receiver to better eliminate the negative impact caused by third-order intermodulation artifacts, have a better signal-to-noise ratio, and also more reliably in today's tough RF environments.

  • SmartTune is the easiest and fastest way to scan the local RF spectrum and find clear operating frequencies. The receiver scans through its tuning bandwidth and automatically finds empty areas within the tuning range that have little or no RF energy. The receiver will then set itself to a frequency within an empty area and prompt you to continue or use the IR function to sync to a transmitter

  • With a noise floor at -120 dBV and a frequency response up to 20 kHz, high-frequency noise in the source audio is more apparent than in conventional wireless systems. The SmartNR algorithm has three modes. When Off, no noise reduction is performed. When Normal is selected, enough noise reduction is applied to remove most of the hiss from the mic preamp and some of the hiss from lavalier microphones. When Full is selected, enough noise reduction is applied to remove most of the hiss from nearly any signal source of reasonable quality, assuming levels are set correctly at the transmitter.

  • The DCR4 offers compatibility with the D-Squared and Duet digital transmitters, including the DBu, DHu, DPr, DCHT, DBSM, and M2T.
  • There is backward compatibility with any Digital Hybrid wireless transmitters including the SM and SMWB series, WM, HM Series, MM400 Series, HHSeries, LT, LMb, UM400 Series, and SSM.

[155 MHz] Industry standard transmitter for remote location work. Paired with the 822 you probably won't need remote antennas.

[4] I've owned a number of different Lectrosonics receivers. SRa, SRb, SRc, LR, and DCR822. The DSR4 performs excellently even when receiving 4 different signals in different compatibility modes. You can also set 2 pairs of channels to diversity mode for even more robust reception (at the cost of 2 channels). The screen is bright and responsive. It works with basically every Lectro transmitter that's been made (analog and digital), and you can mix and match compatibility modes for each channel. You can even receive individual channels from a duet system like a DCHT. I have had really positive experiences using this receiver out in the field, highly recommended.

[25 kHz] Beware if you're using this with power adapter and Venice via an A-Box, there's been a few cameras fried with this combination. it's a mystery which equipment is a fault.

[>60 dB] Lectrosonics makes great practical gear for on location work and this unit is nothing but great, using it as a single channel unit with the WM tx block 21. Using it for over the shoulder bag recording and as a on camera single channel receiver.
Easy to use and works great.

[1.4 to 2.9 ms] Having owned the SR from Lectro, I like this better. Sure not the same power as the SR, but quality in build and sound are right there. And the tuning, channel search could not be easier. Love it

[Auto-Scan] AllProHD.com needed a single receiver for some smaller one-man- band projects. We tried Senheiser G2 and new G3 and again they still suck. So we spent a little more and glad we did. The LR works with all our smqv packs and HMA cubes and a good companion to the SRC RX. This completes our kit and our sound is excellent. The signal is super clear as you would expect. If you are looking for solid wireless performance then look no further. This stuff always works perfect and has the clarity we need for professional productions.

[Aluminum] This baseplate for the DSR4 is needed if you wish to upgrade the Firmware on the DSR4. When in an SD SL-2 upgrade doesn't take. The unit needs to be taken out of the SL-2 and this baseplate put on to load the upgrade
