Designed & manufactured in Japan, the 77mm Opticron MM4 77 GA ED Spotting Scope Straight Viewingfrom Opticron, featuring the HDF ED optical system, delivers a new benchmark for resolution and color contrast and comfortably outperforms older Opticron 80mm models. What is more remarkable is the size and weight of the overall package. The MM4 77 GA ED is just 12.4" long and weighs 44 oz fully armored. These figures read like a 65mm, which cannot deliver the light transmission or apparent resolution of this 80mm class device. Compatible with SDL, HDF T and HR eyepieces, this scope allows existing owners to use eyepieces from other Opticron models.

[77 mm] This spotting scope is very clear. I can even read signs over 500 yards away with 48X. Great size for glassing deer or elk . 5

[77 mm] Finally received the scope after months on back order. Glad I purchased an angled scope after comparing to other peoples. Light weight. Optics are great. The eyepiece attachment seems too tight and takes some torque to install. After installation it is firm. We'll see if that causes problems down the road. 5

[3.185 lb] I bought this scope for birding and it doesn't disappoint. While out on birding events with the Audubon Society, I often looked through other scopes and since I wear glasses I could only see the center of the image through the scope. With the Prostaff 5 I can see the entire image even when zoomed in while wearing my glasses. The optics are very sharp and other birder have commented as to how much better the Prostaff optics are than in their scopes. I did a lot of research before I bought this scope and think this is the best scope available for the money. 5

[Straight] I live about a two miles away from my surf break and was looking for something better than my shaky binoculars to check the conditions. While not exactly designed for this, it works beautifully, the clarity is not perfect at this range but it is pretty dang good. Looks straight into the barrel and I can actually recognize people I know. For birding or checking detail in anything at much closer ranges, the clarity is amazing. You can even read handwritten notes in peoples cars parked across the street. Stoked! 5

[3.185 lb] Like all Nikon optics they are better than average for what you pay, I like my 20x60x82 works great in low light that's what I was looking for. The field of vision on high power is a little small at 300 yards but at longer distances like 1 to 2 thousand yards its good.the eye relief takes a little getting use to on the higher power and the focus knob is in a good place and works well. 5
