[Black] Coming from a background with the GY-HM200SP, this camera was very easy to learn and use! Looking forward to possibly purchasing another!

[Precut Foam] This camera has become my daily workhorse and I love it! JVC hit it out of the park with the one-inch sensor and the ability to shoot in 4k--that provides me with flexibility in editing and in producing rich content that might normally be reserved for higher-end digital film cameras. The ability to record straight to SDHC cards means I don't have to purchase proprietary recording mediums; when you shoot and share a lot of content, a common medium saves time, hassle, and money. I stream a lot of content, so having connectivity built-in to the camera is a bonus. Broadcast professionals will appreciate the XLR audio inputs and the HD-SDI output. There is a lot to admire about this camcorder; it was a nice upgrade from my last JVC handheld camcorder, which I still use as a back-up.

[Precut Foam] I love this camera. I own three. They are the in-house camera in our production studio. Easy and intuitive. Sharp picture. These cameras have more flexibility than the more expensive cameras which makes them ideal for many situations. You really can't go wrong. Find a deal that includes the internal 1 TB SSD. They are very expensive sold separately.

[Latch] So, I was hesitant to purchase this 6 months ago at the beginning of the pandemic... and then it was on backorder. We shoot multicamera webcasts on a budget and this camera works great. My only issue with it would be that it's too light. Almost feels thinly constructed. Of course the last camcorder that i purchased was an HVX-200... That was a completely different build and for a camera that was 3 times the JVC's price. Then I compared the feel to a Blackmagic pocket 4k... and it feels like the same build. The $80. zoom controller that i purchased (here) ... worked great. sony protocol. The image quality looked great... maybe not the best low light camera out there... So bring lights... Love the SDI connector. Love the pro physical controls all around. For $1500., best bang for the buck. I shouldn't of waited.

[Latch] I love this camera....my 4th JVC over the years....

It's lite and you and can load and go. Too many features to name.

You should use the suggested memory for the caddy as I tried to be fancy and had to return some ultra large memory that was not compatible.

Also buy the caddy on ebay as the full price is insane!

Always JVC!

[Yes] I really love this Camera... Works great. Picture quality is great, controls are easy, very light camera, but very rugged as well. When shooting freehand with a Steady Stick, I find that focusing Long Distances is difficult with manual focus and impossible with Auto Focus (I primarily shoot a lot of RC A/C.. Distance shots even zoomed in hard to focus through the viewfinder and using the flip out monitor in daylight is useless as you just get blinded.... I Have a GY-HM100U camera and I do not have the RC shooting problem that I have with the 180, However this is a minor issue for me. However, even with all of that, I really like the camera. Heavy Duty, Great Video, works well...

Inside use of the camera is 2nd to none... everything works great and as advertised as does shooting at night does very very well.

One feature that I noted is the Remote Port... It is actually LANC and works well with LANC Devices, even though it is not advertised... A great feature that JVC should push, but do not seem to do.

[Precut Foam] We purchased this to do some quick new reporting style interviews and it works fantastic. Most of our camera operators are volunteers and this unit has the best automatic setting that we have found. The recordings onto SD card import easily into Premiere Pro making the process simple for lay persons to capture the footage we need.
