[Yes] These are very nice headphones. I initially purchased them for my wife, who found them to be on the heavy side - so now I have them (and she received a pair of Bose headphones instead). The sound quality is great, battery life is great so far, and the all-metal build is reassuring. I had a cheaper pair of Philips headphones that these are replacing, and they were fine but these are much better. Every set of headphones I've had previously has eventually needed electrical tape to repair the separating ear cups, but the leather-covered memory foam that these have look to be a lasting combination. They definitely don't feel cheap, as the metal construction is very solid and reassuring. I'd definitely recommend these; only issue so far is the touch sensitivity of the ear pieces, which will stop a movie I'm watching if they brush agains the pillow behind my head. That takes a bit of getting used to!

[2] I was debating between the X2HRs and a couple of much higher-priced corded headphones. I decided to give the X2HRs a try based on the double headband. I wanted something that I could wear for extended periods of listening while working. I am using the X2HRs with an ifi Zen DAC and greatly enjoy the sound and the comfort of these. I would recommend a break-in period before judging the X2HRs. I think they have improved after the first 40-50 hours of use. The ear cup pads are made of velour, and this is very comfortable, but beware, if you have furry friends, they tend to trap hair.

[60 mAh] For that price you can’t beat it. Somehow similar to Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro. Very comfortable for longer usage.

[3] I wouldn't pay full retail for these headphones, but at the current sale price, it's a great set of headphones if an open back design will work for you. Keep this in mind - professional studio recording headphones have to be a closed back design, for multiple obvious reasons. It's more difficult to get neutral balanced sound from the drivers with closed backs. So thus you get the whole headphone scene for audio production tasks. You can't use these Philips headphones for any of that, but for normal consumer enjoyment of music, if nobody is bothered by the sound coming out the back of the phones, these sound absolutely fantastic. Beautiful open, clear, three dimensional soundstage that presents any recording at its best.

[3] I also own an hd6xx and wanted to add an x2hr to my collection and I'm glad I did! These are detailed phones with a wide soundstage, with good response across the entire frequency spectrum. Maybe not quite as refined as the hd6xx, but gives a different sound impression. Great with classical too!

but they are well built, easy to drive, look really good, and sound really, really good.

I can't think of a more enjoyable set in the price range.

[White] For some reason, I brought a TRRS male to TRS male cable with mic (primary used for old Sennheiser HD485), and I saw this headphones in BH store, and tried it with the cable I brought, and I was surprised how good the sound even with a smartphone (I tested with few YouTube music videos).
After I tried with few YouTube music videos, the store started to close, and OK, go for it and I was the last customer left with this HUGE headphones.
I put it on when riding train. Sensitivity is actually enough for both music and phone call, but due to the size, it's recommended to listen it at home or office (this headphones is pretty comfortable for extended phone talking with boom mic).
After I got in my friend's home, I spent a lot of time to listen to some local music made from CD in FLAC format, and I am blown away how good the sound is (it has a lot of bass but it's not muddy at all) and I like it more than Sennheiser HD598 and ESP500.
I planned to buy Sennheiser HD600, but I worry sensitivity is too low for smartphone. The phone is capable with 32bit/192kHz with PowerAmp.
Open Air design can let me hear anything around me.
Get additional cable with TRRS male to TRS male with mic (or boom mic) and have fun with your smartphone or tablet.

[Yes] This Philips Fidelio X2HR choice was my first open-backed headphones after always using closed-backed. It was a great choice. The sound is much better than I was used to and the comfort level on the ears and head is also much more comfortable. I am not an audiophile like some of the other reviewers, yet I am very pleased with my choice. I highly recommend these headphones.

[3] This works very well in concert with the app that tells you a lot of additional details about how much of the battery you have any other aspects the only issue I had with it and I had to return and get that you copy of this. Is that the battery did not reflect correctly on the app make sure you have the most recent version of the app so it reads the battery correctly. It's a 36 hour battery which is fantastic. Janet has many technological improvements. The entire package and leather is top-notch quality, and the sound of the headphones is well balanced, and pleasant rate value when it says &149 on sale. My daughter also built one well I bought it for her and she's very happy.
