[67 mm (Front)] Let me preface this by stating that I've been shooting for 20+ years and have used oodles of gear over the year, including lenses many times the price and capability of this one.

But that said, none of my main photography has any need for long lenses, so when it came time for me to take photos of my kid playing soccer, I found my high-end kit lacking. Which is why I've found myself purchasing this cheap third-party variable-aperture zoom lens.

And for this purpose I need -- shooting children's sports in bright sunlight? This thing is the perfect fit. Mounted on my Nikon Zf it's bright, quick to focus, fantastic colors, and produces clear and detailed images. Nikon makes no equivalent themself, so if you want an affordable 70-300 this is probably where you're looking, but have no fears. This lens will serve you well.

[Full-Frame] No, it won't match Nikon's 70-200 f2.8 S lens in terms of ultimate sharpness. However it is pretty darned close and you'll need a 36 inch or larger printer to see the difference on a real world display.

This is an excellent lens with a very useful range of focal lengths at a bargain price that fills a void that Nikon hasn't done anything about.

[Full-Frame] I purchased this lens not expecting a lot. However, I am amazed just how good this lens is. Very sharp even at 300mm on my Nikon z5.

Do yourself a favor and try it. It is sharp, not very heavy and weather resistant.

[f/4.5 to 6.3] I purchased this lens from B&H and used it in an auditorium for a dance recital. Very, very happy with the results. This is an excellent lens that is at a reasonable price.

[f/22 to 32] When I changed from Canon Rebel to Sony a7iii, I kept my Canon 30-700 lens and used it with a7. I've been happy with it. But finally I decided to try this Tamron. I've been very impressed. The sharpness is much better than the old Canon, like my Sony lenses. It's lighter and lack of image stabilization hasn't been an issue. I'm more successful capturing birds in flight than with the Canon. The only thing I miss is the zoom lock, since I carry it long distances hiking and would prefer it remain retracted. No regrets though...it's a great upgrade for me.

[Full-Frame] I purchased this Tamron lens to complement my Nikon z 28-75mm lens for my European vacation. I have a Z6II body and the set up worked great. I did noticed that I had to raise my ISO in order to get faster exposure times and minimize camera shake. But not a big deal, since it actually helped me practice on my exposure triangle and the Z6II can handle a higher ISO. I didn't notice any degradation over 200mm as some others have mentioned. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase. The f/4.5-6.3 f-stop hasn't been an issue since I wasn't planning to use this for late night photography.
Will I get more expensive zoom lens with a wider f-stop in the future? Probably, but this camera meets my amateur photography needs for now.
