This 5-pack of 30 x 40" Archival Bright White Pre-Cut Exhibition Mats 5-Packfits 20 x 30" prints. Each board comes fully assembled with a 4-ply beveled window and a 2-ply backing board, which are hinged together with linen tape on the long side of the boards. The bright white, 100% cotton museum board has a centered window for displaying your print. The exhibition mat can be hung in a vertical or horizontal orientation.

A: I have purchased these mats and have been satisfied. The openings are close to 11.5 x 17.5 . Maybe slightly smaller because of the bevel cut. The one I measured was off by less than 1/8 on either dimension.

A: 11.9 x 17.9" (30.2 x 45.5 cm) is the window opening. This will allow for a boarder if you are working with 13x19 paper. If you make the print a 12x18 (on a 13x19 paper) the window opening will not take much off the print.

Q: 6. Is the backing board included in the package?

A: Yes, however be sure to know if the image opening on the matte is the right size for your print. You loose about an inch. If you compose full frame there could be a problem.

A: Stating the obvious, these are precut windows but I suppose you could cut larger windows. Other than that, you could probably contact Archival Methods to see about custom frames.

A: The Archival Methods Bright White Pre-Cut Exhibition Mat (11 x 14" Board for 8.5 x 11" Print, 5-Pack) is archival material. The mat is made of 100% cotton fiber that is acid- and lignin-free, and incorporates alkaline or neutral sizing, and the linen tape is a pH-neutral water-activated adhesive.

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not have information on the amount of isopropyl alcohol. However, they feel it is not enough to allow for proper disinfection of your gear.

[4-Ply] I have used 16x20 and 11x14 matts from Archival Methods for at least the last 18 years. I find them to be consistently high in quality. This is my first use of the 8x10 matts but I anticipate no problems. 5

[White] Very convenient mats. They save a lot of time and effort compared to making them myself. The hinged backing is great. As long as the aspect ratio of your images match the window opening, this is the way to go. 5
