[10 W ] This turned out to be an amazing back light. Its lightweight and bright, the honeycomb grid is a must! I now own 4 of these lights. I use them on 90% of my shoots.

[Yes] it's the solution i was asking for, built well, and at a fair price.

[5 VDC at 2 A] The Brick has a lot more punch than any on-camera light I've used. The dial in color temp could not be simpler, and the color is accurate. Only downside is that it is a little heavy - like a brick.

[Bluetooth] This light is small, bright and you can stack them to make a bigger light as they have the ability to join together. I have three of them and they are now the only lights I take with me on a shoot. I use them on stands more often than the camera, they are a true daylight color and they can be dialled to tungsten also. They seem to last hours on a V-Lock battery so you have no worries about it playing up during a shot. I plan on buying more.

[2700 to 8500K] Bought the light for outdoor video work in Alaska. Very, very often the weather is bad up here. Up till now I've had to carry a bunch of zip lock baggies to protect the lights. Now, the brick light, a handful of batteries and a carbon fiber tripod gives me a great light set up. At present I'm shooting a ski movie with this set up.

[2700 to 8500K] I worked as a chief photographer for a local news station for several years. This is the on-camera light I used for all 14 of our Sony PXW-X320s. Working in the southern U.S., it rains quite a lot and I never had to worry about this tough little light. The bi-color feature makes it wonderfully flexible. It does have some issue with properly blending the tungsten and daylight LEDs if you try to ride it on the very dimmest setting. Compared to how well this light works in every other aspect, this was a trivial issue to me. 

Concerning the included Elvid mount, I cant recommend that. It never properly supported the weight of the light. After about 3 months, the tightening screw had cut hole in what appeared to be soft metal. We transitioned to a Zecti brand mount but, unfortunately, that model has been discontinued. 


I highly recommend this light, especially if youre doing any kind of ENG work or stormchasing. I no longer work for the news but, Im definitely ordering this light for my new job.

[5 VDC at 2 A] Did not expect much from this item, bought it on flash discount because it sounded useful for small tasks, like when you need some extra light for macros and such.
Was pleasantly surprised by the quality and features. Aside from the color temperature adjustment, you can adjust the brightness and select from the full spectrum of colors and save presets.

[Yes] I've been looking for a robust led camera lights for years that will survive the travel + everything news gathering throws at it.

It's weather proof so fits nicely outside the rain slick. Great for storm chasing.

I like how it has two dials, one dimmer, one color temp. Where most panels have one dial for 3200k and one for 5600k which I find annoying if you want to knock the intensity down without changing the color temp

The rectangle size fits nicely above the fx mic so you can still slide the viewfinder in and out without it knocking the panel. Some thing I've found with allot the e square camera top panels

Weight- some of the reviews did initially turn me off. I can understand on a smaller camera it may be a bit off balance. On a bigger camera it's negligible and you adjust to it pretty quicky.

Diffuser - It fits over the entire light, so makes it a little bit bigger so I only put on when required

The light has good punch evenwhen just on 5600k in the day. It's well made, looks like it will last a decade and hopefully it actually does!

[Bluetooth] I already have Litepanel Astra and B&H was having a deal on the Bi-Color Bricks. I have seen them in the field and decided to purchase one. This is a very powerful light, which is great! I like the placement of the power and adjust knobs as they are in perfect position to reach up while having camera on your shoulder. Unlike other lights with controls for each color temp, the two adjustments are brightness and color temp. I also like that while adjusting through the kelvin range it does not change the brightness of the light. Also being weatherproof is great as you can have it outside of your rain bag, or with two of these on stands you can do a standup hit and not worry about it being in the rain or snow. Being such a powerful and wide light, it easily can be used off camera as hair or even a fill light. It is heavier than other on-camera lights, but that is the trade off. The AC adapter that you can purchase is pretty pricey. I ordered an adjustable AC adapter and put on a female d-tap on it, which worked out to $27 and half hour of my time. Chimera even sells a softbox for this light.

[5 VDC at 2 A] This is an awesome light for the size.
