Now with the latest firmware for the K1 II and the K3 III you get focus limiting - WOW! Focus limiting makes macro shooting a real pleasure and for pictures with foreground detail there is no more hunting for the focus you desire. 5

[Black] The first thing you will say when you open the box is "Wow". This is large, heavy and solid. The next thing you will see, is how incredible the image quality is. Another "Wow". I was a little put off by the price until I seen what this is capable of.� It is Laser Sharp, Rating a 9.9 for sharpness in the Pentax Forums. Fast focus, Quiet, Sharp and Very Well built. No regrets, I love this lens. 5

[Black] This is a great lens. The focusing is fast and spot-on. I also used it with the Pentax 1.4 TC and I noticed no difference in focusing speed on birds in flight or on stationary objects. It is a real pleasure on the K-1. It's competitor is the Tamron 70-200 but I wanted the Pentax because the screw-drive Tamron is slower to focus. The only negative is that the Pentax is heavy, but built like a tank. I used it hand-held but it has a solid tripod mount. 5

[Black] Use Lenscoat on all my lenses fro 30mm and up. It is such a great investment. It saves your lens from dings to scratches and in winter keeps your hands from freezing. A very small price to pay to protect your investment. 5

[Black] One of the sharpest lenses available for the Pentax 645z. I use this lens extensively for wildlife and long reach landscape. Also great for candid portrait pics of people from a distance. Excellent bokeh. Balances well with the 645z and handheld photography is easy, even without image stabilization. 5
