Vienna Symphonic Library SYNCHRON-ized Serpent Virtual Instrumentis a virtual instrument with a library that accurately captures the authentic sound of a serpent woodwind instrument. Based on the VI Historic Winds I collection, the library was reedited and optimized for the included Synchron Player, increasing both the flexibility and ease of use of all articulations, for a quick and creative workflow and realistic serpent performances—ideal for film and game scoring, trailer music, or sound design.

The library features a full set of articulations that is on par with the instruments of SYNCHRON-ized Woodwinds, offering various short and long notes, legato, repetitions legato, portato, staccato, and more.

The serpent was recorded in the tightly controlled ambience of Vienna's purpose-built Silent Stage and virtually placed on the large Stage A of Synchron Stage Vienna using the Synchron Player's integrated convolution reverb technology. Mixer presets place the instrument in its perfect spot onstage, resulting in a production-ready sound out of the box that blends seamlessly with the instruments of SYNCHRON-ized Woodwinds as well as with every other product in the Synchron Series.

[1.2 GB ] This is my seventh virtual piano. See my review of the Bösendorfer also by VSL — this is just as supremely recorded and I prefer the Steinway sound. It's hard to see how anyone will ever do any better than this. There are 10 different microphone positions (plus the room mix which incorporates several of them in the standard library; I think the full library gives added richness). I use eight of them (not the Main or the main-C) and the plate reverb at 30% which I like better than the algorithmic reverb or the delay. If you can't afford the full, the standard will still be superior to anything else out there.

[3647] Best piano library I've experienced. Vibrant sound, customization and dynamics are all there. If you are into CFX or trying to add it to your arsenal, do not hesitate.

[Woodwinds] I've been waiting for a while to buy this addition to my Spectrasonics collection and must say this is worth the purchase...the sounds are so great that I'll practice playing the piano and adding it to my productions.

[1.2 GB ] I own many piano libraries as well as a real Steinway B so I was not expecting Keyscape to be as good as it is. I have not had time to explore much beyond the Rhodes and Yamaha C7 sounds but those are excellent and have easily replaced other libraries for me. The sounds work very well in my mixes. It does take a fairly hefty computer with an SSD, however, to run.

[Woodwinds] Works well standalone, and also integrates with Omnisphere quite well (nice to have a bunch of new patches for this integration for immediate use). Fantastic acoustic / electric pianos and it's great to have all of the vintage and rate mechanical / bell / tine keys for unique sounds.

[Standard] Really fantastic big string sound in the VSL instrument family.

[Woodwinds] LOTS of articulations that play well with each other. The Synchron Player is also much easier to use than either Kontakt based sample libraries or Vienna's earlier Vienna Instruments based libraries.

[Yes] It's worth it for the stunning acoustic and electric pianos alone (each of which would cost far more than this entire collection), but it's really nice for producers to have even more unique sounds of rare and exotic instruments (with bells, tines, and plucked sounds), all with great FX. And as if that's not enough, those of us with Spectrasonics Omnisphere enjoy the integration into that VST with a horde of already crafted patches that meld the two.

[1.2 GB ] a great closely MICed string ensemble. great for small orchestra work. Definetly a learning curve to figure things out, but rewards when you do.

[Yes] Nothing said on YouTube is false or misleading. If you already have a keybed you love to play, just buy the sounds here and record or jam out with them.
