It offers a virtual instrument with a library that accurately captures the authentic sound of a serpent woodwind instrument. A: the USB output on the ZED 16FX is only able to output 2 channels simultaneously. Main Mix (Post-fade), the Main Mix (Pre-Fade), Auxes 1-2, or Auxes 3-4. Unfortunately there are no individual outputs available on this unit.

Q: 4. We are using both the XLR output to speaker, how to get stereo output to a live camera streaming in addition to the XLR speaker output?

A: The console has an Alternate Output (ALT OUT) which can be used to send stereo signals from the console to outboard devices or speakers.

A: You use the Aux sends to feed all your cue mixes from the desk. This desk has 4 Aux sends which should be fine if you are doing monitor mixes from stage left or right. Then whoever is doing FOH will have their hands full with another desk.

A: The USB output is stereo only.

A: Your two existing speakers will most likely have a line output or "thru" connection on the back that will allow you to connect the output from one speaker to the input on an additional powered speaker. So you can easily expand your existing setup by daisy-chaining more speakers on the left and right sides. As long as you are connecting powered speakers, you can daisy chain as many speakers as desired.

Q: 8. is this outboard gear compatible with protools?

A: The mixer has a USB input/output interface. Assuming that your PC is running Pro Tools and that this program accepts input via the USB port on your computer, then it should be compatible. Also, the mixer comes with a free download of Cakewalk's Sonar LE, which performs a similar function. I would recommend that you test Pro Tools to make sure it can use the USB interface first.

A: Hi Radcliffe, Since SONAR/Cakewalk went out of business, we no longer include that software with our ZED consoles. The ZED will work with any other DAW, however.
