Immersive, orchestral, cinematic, and everything inbetween. With over 60 articulations, multiple mic setups, solo and ensemble performances, 4 types of synthesis, and built-in FX, explore a near-limitless spectrum of modern string textures and timbres for any style.

Augmented STRINGS' Morph control gives you truly unique and ever-evolving sound with one click. Unlock huge sonic territory within a single sound, move and transform between Layers A and B, and adjust up to 8 custom destinations—all with one control.

Make dramatic changes and tap into your musical expression in real-time with a streamlined set of macro controls, designed to intelligently change multiple parameters for sweeping sound tweaks in real-time. Perfect dynamics, variety, and individuality when you need it.

An instrument that can do both: Augmented STRINGS is quick and intuitive on the surface, but deep and advanced when you need it to be. Weave intricate modulation, create dynamic sequences, customize sound sources, and more.

On one side, you get a complete recorded library of solo and ensemble string samples. And on the other, you get 4 ultrapowerful synth engines. In the sonic space between these two elements, Augmented STRINGS forges fresh and invigorating sounds that are yours to discover. And with up to 8 extra custom destinations, the Morph control is the key that unlocks a world of musical expression with a single touch, where any configuration and character is possible.

  • Sampling: Augmented STRINGS’ built-in sample library has been recorded and curated to be every bit as delicate, urgent, and expressive as conducting your own personal ensemble. The 22 musicians performed as soloists and as an ensemble, with over 60 articulations across doublebass, cello, viola, and violin. The recordings were captured in detail with world-class microphones and preamps in various positions, ensuring that every sample resonates with lifelike space, detail, and energy. Whether you need an evocative single instrument melody, a huge tremolo sustain, or anything inbetween, this library ticks the boxes.
  • Synthesis: Discover sounds from 4 synth engines, from subtle textural embellishment to in-your-face soundscapes: Virtual Analog, Granular, Wavetable, and Harmonic. Inspired by state-of-the-art synthesis architecture from the minds behind Pigments and V Collection, this is more than a list of synth presets. These are entire instruments within an instrument, responsive and tactile, providing everything from destructive sub-bass to digital pads brimming with harmonic detail.

Augmented STRINGS is built around a streamlined interface, designed to give you the exact sound you seek in as little time as possible. Reach out, interact with its quick-fire controls, and savor an instant, intuitive sonic response that’ll become your new go-to.

  • Morph: Blur the lines between acoustic and synthetic, weave intricate layers of sound, and choose any selection of up to 8 parameters to adjust with a single sweep of one control. Scan through Augmented STRINGS’ 2 layers, exploring any combination of samples, synthesis, or hybrid, giving you a world of authentic and contemporary sound within one preset.
  • Color, Time, Motion: Be the conductor on stage, the band leader in the live room, or the producer at the desk, and effortlessly alter your sound with a single gesture. These instinctive macros simultaneously tweak multiple parameters for dramatic adjustments to your sound in real-time, such as synth controls, filter cutoff, modulators, and more.
  • FX, Delay, Reverb: Quickly tweak the final stages of Augmented STRINGS’ sound, from your own custom FX slots to the dedicated Delay and Reverb master FX. Whether you’re looking for the right spatial balance, or a sound processed beyond recognition, these macros put it all within immediate reach.

The Advanced panel takes you deep into the inner workings of the instrument, giving you detailed control over your sound sources, modulation, performance, and beyond.

  • Layers: Tap into the full capabilities of Augmented STRINGS’ sound sources by adjusting the dual engines within each layer. This puts 4 sound sources at your disposal; any combination of up to 2 sampling and 2 synthesis engines. Within each engine, make subtle tweaks or drastic changes, from filter sculpting to waveform combinations to sample mic blend.
  • Modulation: Animate and transform your sound with click-and-drag modulation routing. Apply multiple LFOs, functions, random generators, and keyboard controls to numerous parameters, and customize each modulation generator to do your sonic bidding.
  • Arpeggiator: Turn the simplest of ideas into vibrant flurries of acoustic texture and momentum with a built-in 16-step arpeggiator. Whether you’re injecting movement into a chord sequence or looking to weave an ever-evolving string tapestry into your ambient soundscapes, this familiar tool is built to be synchronized, randomized, and tweaked in real-time.
  • Effects: Dial in your own flavors of distortion, sound-sculpting, and drastic processing with 2 FX slots per layer, and sprinkle the final spatial and time-based touches with Delay and Reverb at the end of the chain.
  • Macros: The command center for Augmented STRINGS’ crucial macro controls; observe a real-time overview of every parameter and function that each of the 8 macros are altering, and hone in on the detail of each adjustment as you perform, produce, or record.

  • Two sessions took place, lasting over 20 hours in total, overseen by seasoned sound designers and engineers on an orchestral scoring stage in Eastern Europe that’s witnessed recordings for productions including Netflix’s The Crown and HBO’s His Dark Materials.
  • The ensemble consisted of 3 doublebasses, 3 celli, 4 violas, and 8 violins, plus additional performers for solo recordings. In an effort to capture as much articulation and detail, the ensemble was recorded with multiple mic positions using the finest mics and preamps from the likes of Neumann, Schoeps, DPA, and Millennia. The resulting sample library puts unmistakably lifelike string samples right in your DAW at the touch of a button and yours to augment.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How long is the included cable?

A: The cable included in the box with TourBox NEO Creative Software Controller is 59'' long.

Q: 2. How many licenses for the $89?

A: This is for a single license.

Q: 3. What wireless controllers are compatible with this software?

A: For the Magicue Pro Software for Studio & Presidential Prompters we recommend the Contour Design Shuttle-Xpress NLE Multimedia Controller: https://bhpho.to/35IoadQ

Q: 4. Will this work with Windows 10?

A: This Autocue/QTV QStart Teleprompting Software (Dongle Version) works with Windows 10.

Q: 5. Is this software compatible with the Gemini MDJ series?

A: Gemini's MDJ line of products is not specified as directly compatible with the Mixvibes Cross DJ 4 Pro Digital DJ Software. Because Mixvibes is able to be controlled over MIDI and the MDJ players offer MIDI control, there may be some cross-functionality between the two, but it is likely limited. Gemini's "FirstMix" product line is specified as compatible with and natively supported by Mixvibes, however.

Q: 6. will the autocue Qstart work with Blackmagic deck link ?

A: Please contact us at provideo@bhphoto.com.

Q: 7. Does it work with Nikon as well as Canon?

A: This is made for select Canon EOS and Powershot cameras only.

Q: 8. Is there a way to record an iPhone or Android via USB into a computer?

A: It would be helpful to have more information about how the phone will be used in your application. If you want to record phone conversations, you could use the JK Audio CellTap 4C Wireless Phone Audio Tap Adapter (B&H # JKCELLTAP4C) and connect the phone's headphone jack to send audio from the phone to the CellTap 4C, then instead of using a traditional audio recorder, send the output from CellTap 4C to the input on a USB audio interface which will connect to your computer via USB. For a simple USB audio interface, you can use the Audio-Technica Consumer ATR2x-USB 3.5mm to USB 2.0 Type-C Audio Adapter (B&H # AUATR2XUSB). Adapters will be needed to connect to the Lightning port on an iPhone and perhaps for the Android phone, depending on whether or not it has a 3.5mm headphone jack. For iPhone, use the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APLAADAP) combined with a 3.5mm TRRS cable like the IK Multimedia TRRS Audio Cable (B&H # IKIPCSTOMP) to connect the iPhone to the "Phone" input on the CellTap 4C, and connect a microphone like the wired Apple headset with a 3.5mm TRRS connector to the "Headset" jack. Then use a standard aux cable like the Pearstone Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Male Cable - Black, 3' (B&H # PEMMSA103B) to connect to the USB audio interface (or a standard audio recorder). For an Android phone with a 3.5mm headphone jack, use the same setup without the Lightning adapter. For an Android phone with USB-C, use the same setup with a USB-C adapter such as the Comica Audio CVM-SPX-UC 3.5mm TRRS Female to USB Type-C Audio-Interface Cable for Android (B&H # COCVMSPXUC) instead of the Lightning adapter. The Arturia AudioFuse Rev2 will allow you to send audio from its output into your phone to use the phone as a recorder. You would not be able to connect your phone to the AudioFuse as an input device via USB because the phone will see it as a charging port.

A: No, the Epson SureLab Order Controller Software is not designed for the Surelab D1080.

Q: 10. Will this work with Mac Ventura? I assume software is downloaded.

A: The Savage Green Screen Software Kit is not compatible with Mac OS. It will work with Windows Vista and 7. The software is contained in a physical DVD.

[3 GB] I purchased my Mac Pro just so that I can start my own photobooth company. Just to find out that being a MAC user this isn't something that you would want to do with such an expensive device. I downloaded this software to test the device out but it wouldn't work. Thats when I noticed that you can only use this software with Windows.

[Standard] So, I've been using FastRawViewer for...about three weeks now. It actually lives up to the name, being fantastically, well, fast. But that's not the main point; the main point is that FastRawViewer let me better understand my camera, and helped me increase its dynamic range by over a stop, having lowered the amount of noise in the shots - it turns out that you tend to pick better RAW shots when you pick images based on the optimal exposure for RAW, and not for JPEGs (since, earlier, I was forced to work based on JPEG previews). I've tried many programs, both viewers and converters, but none of them gave me the ability to quickly and accurately pick shots with optimal exposure for RAW. Even if FastRawViewer didn't have any tools other than the RAW histogram and the RAW-based over- and underexposure statistics (which it does - FastRawViewer offers a lot of other unique tools for RAW culling and even for preliminary correction), I'd suggest that anyone who shoots in RAW use this program. There is one thing about this program that...saddens me, for lack of a better term. It's shown me that before I started using it, I'd thrown out many, many, many shots that I thought were overexposed, selecting them on the basis of the embedded JPEG. If I'd kept them instead, I would now be able to choose shots that were actually exposed much better, and accordingly had much less noise than those that I chosen to keep without using FastRawViewer.

[2 ] The Arturia Mini V3 is incredibly cool. There is truly sooo much you can do over a standard Model-D from an extra LFO that doesn’t eat up oscillator 3 to velocity as a modifier to varying actual pulse widths static or modulated to individual amounts of any modifier on each oscillator all made possible by the eight slot mod matrix. The major failing that I take no points off from this synth is that it does not have the natural drift of the original Model-D. I’m pretty sure I have heard & seen oscillator drift in soft software synths so I’m not sure why it’s omitted here but as long as you detune your oscillators to taste you get a rich sound that in context will surpass a Minimoog in terms of sheer flexibility & enhancements every time. The built in chorus & delay sound good but really aren’t necessary for most patches. I never found a use for the vocal filter as I would have preferred female articulations or the motion recorder as it always restarts with each note press & isn’t free running like say a Moog 1125 which would have been an ingenious touch. Maybe in a future update. For sheer flexibility from enhancements such as polyphony & velocity to being able to automate sequences & performances to never needing to service your instrument the Arturia Mini V3 delivers in spades. I literally sold my vintage Model-D because the Mini V3’s features made me feel the vintage instrument is more of a collectors piece & not forward thinking. I see myself using the Mini V3 for a long time to come.

[Yes] I own a LOT of saturation plugins. They all serve a purpose but FabFilter's Saturn takes saturation to a whole different level. Everything from subtle mastering to wild tape effects and everything in between, Saturn 2 has you covered.

[Download] This is a fantastic sounding single oscillator synth. It offers something unique compared to BOTH hardware & digital synths. It’s almost like it should be mandatory in everyone’s synth kit.
