Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This item surprisingly didn't come with a pan handle. Can you recommend a compatible pan handle?

A: Unfortunately, there are no pan handles compatible for use with the GEEKOTO CT32X Gravity 85 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Ball Head. The GEEKOTO CT32X Gravity 85 Carbon Fiber Tripod comes with a ball head. Ball heads have knobs that allow you to control the pan axis on the head, but ball heads do not use pan handles. If you need a pan handle with your tripod, you would have to purchase a pan/tilt head separately such as the Oben PD-117 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head, B&H # OBPD117, or the Field Optics Research Ultra Low-Profile Pan Head, B&H # FIFPHULP, for your usage needs.

Q: 2. Anyone had any luck replacing the center column after use as a monopod? Can't get it reconnected for the life of me.

A: If you are having difficulties with the K&F Concept BA225 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Ball Head, you can contact the company at customer@kentfaith.com

Q: 3. Can this tripod hold a camera with 150-600 mm lens?

A: Yes, the Geekoto CT25Pro Craftsman 79" Carbon Fiber Tripod is more than capable of handling any manufacturer's 150-600mm lens.

Q: 4. Where does the monopod come from? Is it one of the tripod legs that can be removed or the center column?

A: Yes. Center column can be removed to convert to a monopod and the unit is made in China.

Q: 5. Or is there a short column...?

A: There is not a short center column for this tripod.

Q: 6. Why is this labeled as an 85" tripod when the description says 57.7"?

A: Without the center column raised it is 58", with the center column raised, the max height is 85".

Q: 7. I know the center column can be flipped. But can the tripod operate without it?

A: No, a tripod that has a center column, typically cannot be used without it.

Q: 8. Which head will this tripod come with?

A: According to K&F, the BA225 tripod comes with the KF25 ballhead.

Q: 9. Is the total weight 2.2 with the ball head mount?

A: Correct and offers a payload support of 17.5 lbs.

Q: 10. Does this tripod pass the "twist test" meaning when the legs are extended and you grab and twist the base where they attach, do the legs flex?

A: Unfortunately, I have not seen a test as you indicate above for the GEEKOTO CT25Pro Craftsman 79" Carbon Fiber Tripod. As such, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer directly either by e-mailing them at support@geekoto.com or by calling them at (323) 289-2474.

[Yes] So much better than my 50 year old Velbon! This is light, packs small and fast to set up. Amazing value compared to the Peak design type big dollar units. Very pleased. B AND H comes thru again.

[3 Positions] I was looking for a light weight tripod I can also use as a light stand. And this is exactly what I was looking for. I don't like to buy tripod just for weight and compactness. Because I think that is usually useless and not stable. But this has all the elements I wanted because it goes up to 79" so it can be used as a light stand as well

[Carbon Fiber] I love this tripod. I purchased this one because I already have one that works beautifully for my purpose. I’m mostly a video shooter and just bought another matching camera and needed a matching tripod. I’ve used this lightweight tripod for the past few years without fail. This new one is a match to my existing one, so I’ll be ready with two cameras for video interviews. It’s well worth the price.

[4] I ordered similar tripods and other equipment through a familiar online store but the products were subpar and not as advertised had to return all of it. I received my B&H products exactly as advertised but better than I hoped for. I would buy this product again and recommend it to anyone who is in need of a good tripod. I will definitely continue to order all of my products with B&H!
