[654 yd / 598 m] Before I purchased the Night Vision Monocular I wanted to know if I could use it with glasses or without. I am farsighted and need reading glasses. Customer service at Luna Optics responded to my E Mail quickly and said yes the diopter correction in the eye piece would work, and it does. I can see the display clearly without glasses, allowing the rubber eye cup to be extended. The rubber eye cup does fold up quickly if you do wear glasses and can still see the entire display. The display is very clear both day and night. With some ambient light, the IR illuminator is not required. For long range (200 yards) the adjustable IR illuminator can focus the IR beam to a spot or broader area coverage. Then, I E-Mailed customer service and asked about battery life and they recommended a Power Pack. I measured the current drain in each mode:
1. Unit on, IR Low, Video off, WiFi off = 390 mA
2. Unit on, IR High, Video off, WiFi off = 940 mA
3. Unit on, IR Med Video on, WiFi on =600 mA
4. Unit on, IR High, Video on, WiFi on = 970 mA
The Capacity for the batteries I have: CR123A -1500 mAh, RCR123 - 800 mAh ,Power Bank 10,000 mAh
For the above modes these batteries will last:
1. RC123A 2.1 hrs, CR123 - 3.8 hrs, Power Bank 25 hrs
2. RC123A 0.9 hrs, CR123 -1.6 hrs, Power Bank 10.6 hrs
3. RC123A 1.3 hrs, CR123 - 2.5 hrs, Power Bank 16.7 hrs
4. RC123A 0.8hrs, CR123 - 1.5 hrs, Power Bank 10.3 hrs
For my intermittent use, which is Mode 1, the rechargeable CR123 batteries are fine (EBL16). When I tripod mount the unit, I used the Power Bank.
The optical 6X magnification is fine hand held, but when using the digital zoom at 36x a tripod is needed for good video and photos.

[6-36x] Can get some night vision cheaper, and many A LOT more expensive. This seemed a good middle of the road purchase for me. I have not taken any pics or video so can't comment, but that was never my intent. It shows good detail in structures across a corn field an honest 350 yards away on a pitch black night using the IR illuminator. I think it's perfect for keeping tabs on property in the dark.

[1W, 850 nm] great product for both day and especially at night for viewing the stars and satellites moving around. I wifi to my iPad as a monitor while videoing the night sky, works great for panning on the tripod without having to keep the binos in my face. focus is a little touchy but just be gentle. for the price I am extremely happy, and shipping was FAST ! could you suggest a 12 inch portable monitor that is plug and play for these binos ??
overall I am extremely satisfied. I can see so much now that I couldn't before !!!

[1W, 850 nm] This is a great digital night vision camera/ riflescope. It does however require the use of an IR illuminator to have night vision capabilities. This is because all digital devices do not amplify available light like traditional tube night vision devices. This monocular does see infrared light very well though. The images day or night are excellent. Very clear. Digital zoom works well, but at maximum zoom image can be slightly grainy, although not bad. Color, B&W, and green modes are helpful in different lighting. Reticles are very fine, useful, and clear. The zeroing is a bit complicated, but once you figure it out it works well. This scope is well built, and not that heavy. Controls are fairly intuitive. Rifle mount is solid aluminum and mounts tight. IR illuminator can be focused for different distances and is very bright Overall a great multipurpose monocular, especially for the price.

[2.6' / 0.8 m] I am so happy I finally decided to buy these binoculars! I saw one 3-star review and was cautious, but I’m glad I pulled the trigger. Not sure what that other reviewer was referring to but zoom and magnification work perfectly and even at over 20x the image is still very good and not overly pixilated.

I’ve tried several digital night visions in the past and their standard optical image was usually 1x to 3x and as soon as you started zooming the image would become bad. This one starts at 6.5x and let me tell you – it’s crisp and sharp like a fine HDTV! Overall built qualityis excellent, but it was the image that blew me away. Miles better than not just any budget digital night vision, but better than those that cost more money! It has multiple color modes, each useful in different situations, takes 16MP photos and has video recording in true 2K resolution. They rate the rangefinder at 1635yds – I measured well beyond that! Don’t forget to switch from meters to yards in settings. It has a lot of features, so please read the manual. I plan to use it for both: stargazing and wildlife viewing. Do invest in a tripod and definitely get a good power bank, so you don’t have to worry about the batteries all the time.

Oh, and I received the product in 2 days – great service by B&H!

[10°] For the value this is it. Can see stars when the whole sky is cloudy. Easy to use. A great gen 3 digital night scope. I don't anything compares to it

[3.04 lb] These are great quality for the price. They feel solid and the magnification and night vision settings allow you to view a decent amount of detail in wildlife that you otherwise would not be able to see.
