Q: 2. Is this filter a Nikon product or generic? I am interested in the 52mm Clear NC Glass Filter by Nikon and the 58mm Clear NC Glass Filter by Nikon.Thamks,Rich

A: The filter on this link is an offer for a Nikon original filter, not a generic. Below is a link to the same filter in 58mm size for you to also regard:http://bhpho.to/1fSDZhd

Q: 3. What is the difference between this filter holder and the less expensive model sold for $89.00?

Q: 4. Is there a trick to getting the 52 mm Canon Protect Filter off of the holder? I am having a hard time removing it so I can put another filter on the holder. Thanks!

A: You have to wiggle it gently and unscrew. If that doesn't work and you have some plastic filter wrenches, try those. Alternatively, if you have a vise grip put some spongy tape on it and gently tighten and unscrew the filter.

Q: 5. How does this Clear NC glass compare to a U.V. filter?

A: A clear filter and a UV filter essentially are the same, however a UV filter will block some UV transmissions from hitting the sensor of the camera. However, the primary use for both filters is to protect the lens.

Q: 6. Is this the best filter for Nikon d5500 50mm lens?

A: I'd recommend checking on the Nikon website to be sure you're getting the right-sized lens for your camera. I ordered it to protect the lens on my D3200.

Q: 7. Will this work well with achieving the sunray effect during sunrise/sunset? Will this filter effect the look of the image in any other way?

A: This will not help with the sunray effect at sunrise or sunset. It will give more of a twinkle/pointed star effect of the sun or any other prominent light sources, such as the example shown with the street lamps.

Q: 8. Will this work with the 300mm 2.8l is mk1?

A: I believe not, you will need the older version. Click on the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/3agvCu0

A: The Nikon Neutral Clear Filter (77mm) is designed to have a thin profile, which helps prevent vignetting issues.

[52 mm] We are using this on the Sony 200-600mm. Image quality is great with no noticeable loss in sharpness, added vignette, or color shift.

[52 mm] When three stops are too little, and 10 stops are too much, six stops are just right. Kind of like Goldilocks' porridge experience.

[Solid ND] 4 stop ND but as advertised. Know exactly how many stops used rather than VND with imprecise wheel.

[Glass] The NiSi 6-stop Nano filter lets one prolong the exposure speed. When mounting a camera on a tripod, one can use long exposures to flatten the appearance of waves on a lake or harbor, or give clouds in the sky the appearance of movement. The filter is well made and fits well to Nikon lenses.
