Q: 1. Why is the height of this adapter so much shorter than the Novoflex adapter and why do the photos show Hasselblad XPan lenses being adapted to the Hasselblad X medium format mirrorless camera? Seems either the description of the product is wrong or the photos of the product are wrong. Please explain.

A: The photos are misleading. Both the Novoflex and the Hasselblad adapter position V mount lenses at the same distance from the X1D sensor. There is a separate adapter for xpan lenses to X1D (different lens flange to sensor distance) See BH #HAXPLAX1D and B&H # FOXPANXCDPRO

Q: 2. Does this change the effective focal length of the lens?

A: The Hasselblad XH Lens Adapter will not affect the effective focal length of any lens used with it.

Q: 3. Will the XV lens adapter be able to trigger the leaf shutter inside Hasselblad V lens? Or will it use the electronic shutter on X2D

A: The Hasselblad XV Lens Adapter only works with the camera's electronic shutter. Unfortunately the leaf shutter cannot be used.

Q: 4. What's the difference between this cheap lens and the more expensive 45mm f4?

A: Generally smaller (62mm thread vs 67mm), lighter (11.2 VS 14.7 OZ), focuses just a tad closer (1.15 vs 1.3 feet) and is about a half stop slower (F:4 VS F:3.5)

Q: 5. Does the automated focus bracketing work with this lens?

A: Hi, yes, the focus bracketing feature will work with this lens.

Q: 6. Hasselblad XCD 45mm f/4 P Lens mount type?

A: This is an X series lens mount to work with the Hasselblad X series cameras.

Q: 7. Why no hood?

A: Hi--Hasselblad does not include a lens hood with this lens.

Q: 8. will this adaptor work with HC lenses?

A: No, this works on V system lenses.

Q: 9. Will there be a lens hood available in the future? The lens appears to not have any mean to attach one...

A: At this time I do not see any hoods that will work with out giving some vignette. And Hasselblad has not as of today given information of making one.

Q: 10. Is it weather sealed ?

A: Yes, the Hasselblad 45mm is weather sealed.

[0.19 lb] Two of the most useful filters that any photographer should have, a UV for every lens and a Circular Polarizing Filter for every size. The UV filter is obvious, protecting the front element of your much more expensive lens, but the Circular Polarizer is the go to filter for many photography situations. Buying both at the same time, as with this Twin Pack, is convient when you purchase a lens that has a filter size that you don't already own. 5

[0.19 lb] This is a nice set to have for shooting outdoors to both protect the lens and also get the benefits of the polarizer. pretty good value when compared to buying separate. 5
