Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this support the weight of my canon rebel with a sigma 150-600 lens?

A: The National Geographic Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Ball Head will be able to support the weight of the Canon Rebel DSLR camera with a Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Canon EF, but we recommend a sturdier tripod (preferably with a gimbal head) for your set up.

Q: 2. Can this tripod be used with Canon 70D with 24-70mm, with f2.8 L series lens will hold weight properly?.....Need this tripod for traveling purposes only, I owned a tripod that can hold camera & lens already, but too large to take for an overseas trip, Thanksfor the Info.

A: I think it is sturdy enough for your camera and the 24-70. I would be careful if there are strong winds because it is lightweight. I am bringing the tripod to Iceland in the spring and I plan on using my mark 3, with the 24-70.

Q: 3. Does the backpack have a removable camera cube that can also serve as a carrying should bag/case as the smaller version?

A: No, this one does not have a separate internal camera cube.

Q: 4. Will this bag hold a Fujifilm GFX100s 32-64 G mount and 100-200 G mount lens? I also have a 16" MacBook. Looks like a good day trip bag.

A: No, a Fujifilm GFX100S with a GF 32-64mm Lens and a GF 100-200mm lens cannot fit in this National Geographic Africa Camera Backpack M for DSLR/CS.

Q: 5. I see no reviews for it. Was it just released?

A: Yes National Geographic Iceland M 17L Camera Backpack is a new backpack that was just recently released.

Q: 6. How much of the 8X10 image is covered by the framing of the folder? or What is the width of one side of the "frame"

A: The National Photo Folders Black Panel Display Easel (8 x 10", 25-Pack) covers up approximately 1/4 inch of the image.

Q: 7. Will it take the weight of Nikon Z50 50 - 250 mm lens?

A: The National Geographic Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Ball Head has a load capacity of 17.6 lb, so it will be able to support the 2 lb combined load of the Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera (B&H # NIZ50) and Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR Lens (B&H # NIZ50250).

Q: 8. What are the dimensions of the bag and the camera compartment?

A: The external dimensions of the National Geographic Iceland M 17L Camera Backpack is 12.2 x 6.89 x 17.32 inches and has an internal volume of 17 liters. The camera insert dimensions and internal dimensions are 10.63 x 4.33 x 10.04 inches. The dimensions of the laptop compartment are 10.63 x 0.78 x 14.17 inches, while the dimensions of the personal compartment are 10.63 x 4.33 x 5.96 inches, and the tripod compartment's dimensions are 4.92 x 2.76 x 7.48 inches.

Q: 9. Will this backpack hold a Nikon D610 a Nikon 24-120 a 18-35 and a 200-500 zoom lens plus assorted other camera gear?

A: Sadly, this beautiful bag does not have the capability of taking a full size DSLR plus three lenses. I would suggest either of these two similar priced, large enough to carry you gear but small enough for airline carry on. MindShift Gear BackLight 18L Backpack (Charcoal) MFR #520355. Think Tank Photo Airport Essentials Backpack (Small, Black) MFR #720483.

Q: 10. Exterior: 17.3 x 12.2 x 6.9. Are these dimensions compressible to 17.3 x 10 x 6.9?

A: Whether the dimensions can be compressed depends on what is placed in the Iceland M 17L.

[Pan & Tilt Head] Not a studio tripod, but not its best use, either. For wildlife and landscape, you will be hard pressed to find a significantly better travel tripod at this price point. Easy to erect, easy to take down, stable, well-made and capable of supporting a heavy rig, e.g. Nikon D850 w/Nikon 300-500 zoom. A great value for the money.

[Pan & Tilt Head] Though it's not very practical for a quick access, this bag holds almost everything i need in my urban hike. Wallet, keys, two mobiles, sunglasses, and of course my beloved rangefinder camera. It could also hold a 400 ml bottled water i usually bring. I like the style & color to goes with my casual tropical outfits. It is also considerably strong for a cloth bag. I happened to accidentally snatched the bag to my door while in a hurry, just to find the doorknob fell off instead. The unique color scheme & the material makes it even better looking in ragged condition. It goes with my style & it even creates more charm in its worn-out unattractiveness. Love this bag!

[1.82 lb] The National Geographic Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod is perfect for me, I needed a multifunction tripod for the kind / type of photography that I do. Which is mostly on rocky shorelines and river inlets. First off, being carbon fiber, it is very light weight, plus it is very resistant to the salt environment that I work in. Secondly, the way the legs are mulitfunctional really helps in positioning the camera in the right spot and angle to get the shot that I am after, the ball head also helps with this. The fact that you can change the center shaft so that you can put the camera down low, but still have the stabilizablity of the tripod really helps a lot.
I have tried a number of different tripods over the years, and this one by far meets my needs the best.

[Pan & Tilt Head] I got a thing for National Geographic for many years and was fortunate to work with a field team on Gough Island a few years back. This bag is like stylish and my XT1 with 18/55 and 23prime fits with room to spare in the main compartment. An extra battery and charger, sd cards in the smaller outside pouches. I highly recommend this bag and I have the smaller one as well which looks almost identical which is ideal fort the XT1 with 23mm prime lens.
Great product and makes a great gift to a photographer - I intent to get another one for a friend from B&H!

[Flip Lock] Good quality. Good to fit the Nikon zf with a 24-200 nikorr lens attached, and a TTartisan 50 tilt lens stored aside. Can also put a thin soft camera wrap on the top. No more room in the main pocket. Outside easy to put some lens covers and one filter. Pretty small I think but good for me since most of the time I take the camera outside on my hand and use the bag as somewhere I could put my extra lens. Love the painting of the ancient map inside the bag cover, I guess in previous version this painting also has a compass pattern along with the decorative map which looks better but not this version. Overall it’s great.

[1.82 lb] I bought this tripod to use on an upcoming trip, where I didn't want to use my larger, heavier tripod. It's got a solid feel, converts to a monopod, and folds up nicely.
