This stage clamp's solid steel construction can support up to 110 lb loads in venues with overhead lighting grids, which is why you'll see it supporting lights and grip gear in theaters, studios, and outdoor venues.

The dual-position locking bolt assures a firm and secure hold on both square and round tubes up to 2" in diameter. Once you hang the light fixture, you can tighten the locking bolt with one hand until the fixture is securely tightened to the tube.

Any light fixture or grip gear with a 5/8" baby receiver is compatible with this stage clamp. But, as with any venue where lights hang overhead, safety is the number one priority. The safety hole at the end of the baby pin allows you to secure the light with a safety pin.

A: This pin is not threaded at all. It's designed to be used in a pinch-clamp of a C-stand. The end with the reduced diameter is where a strobe would be added, and tightened into place by the set screw of the strobe.

A: No, the Matthews Super Mafer Clamp with Baby (5/8") Pin does not include wedge inserts or any baby pins.

A: The Impact SRP-110P 6" Baby Pin listed above has a 1/4"-20 female thread in front of the pin (mounting side) and a 3/8”-16 female thread in the back of the pin (collar side).

A: Lower half appears (that attaches to your C - Stand) appears to be steel, (Magnet sticks) Upper half is aluminum. (no magnet stick). Knobs are aluminum. I choose this one for the lock up knob, so I have that little bit of extra functionality over the Avenger.

Q: 10. Will this fit the female baby pin receiver in Elinchrom monoblocks? The female receivers in Elinchrom lights are slightly less deep than most receivers and not all baby pins fit correctly.

A: This is a Universal baby pin mount there should be no issues using this on Elinchrom

[Pipe] This is a must have for any grips or lighting guys wanting to mount securely to odd places. Wedge between plywood and foam for extra security. Although it is very heavy, it adds to the overall strength. Not as important as cardalini clamps or mafer clamps, but still great for saving the day on set. 5

[Pipe] I needed a simple but heavy duty clamp for hanging some lighting and this Impact Stage clamp with baby pin was perfect. It can be used with pipes or square/rectangular bars. Very sturdy, well machined. Highly recommended. 5

[Silver] This all metal clamp is great! I've attached this clamp to my c-stands and to a few poles in my studio and the clamp holds up just fine. According to the specs, this clamp can hold 220 lbs and just by the sheer girth of this clamp - I believe it. I doubt I'd ever be mounting more than 50lbs to this clamp, but it's nice to know that it has the ability if needed. Don't forget to use the safety cable when attaching devices to the clamp! [Steel] I love the tool less design of this pipe clamp. I'm used to having to tighten down regular pipe clamps with a wrench, so this design is very much appreciated. It is also safer than climbing up with a wrench and the risk of it falling and injuring someone. I love this design, super easy to mount the clamp and safe. This clamp is also very strong. The specs say it can hold 220 lbs which is impressive and I believe it. The build quality is fantastic. It is made of a strong aluminum and secures down tight on a pipe up to 2.16 wide. The baby pin is also made of quality materials. It comes with a safety cable which is helpful and prevents the need and cost to buy one. [Pipe] You gotta give it to those clever folks at Matthews. C Clamp is strong, and with two pin positions allows flexibility of position, or ability to hang 2 studio lights etc. 5

[1.21 lb] As intended, this clamp works best for those awkward lighting situations where a c-stand is just too big or impractical. This clamp is high quality steel and should last you a lifetime. A one time investment for sure. Only con I can think of is that if you're new to the game, or just learning the basics of grip work, that you be wary of screwing it too tightly on certain types of wood. This thing is solid metal, and if you put too much force you could damage the furniture. Simple furniture blankets can fix this problem though. 5
