Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the tripod mount removable?

A: No, the integrated tripod mount on the base of the FotodioX Olympus OM Lens to Nikon Z-Mount Camera Pro Lens Adapter is not removable.

Q: 2. Hi, I have an old Olympus OM f35-210mm, does this adapter allowed me to use it on my Nikon D5200?thanks.

A: I don't know for Nikon 5200 but for my D300 and D7000 both work well with Olympus OM lens on this adapter. D5200 got the same Nikon mount so should work.

Q: 3. FotodioX Pro Adapter for Select Olympus Zuiko OM Lens to Nikon F-Mount Camera, fits the nikon d3300?

A: Yes, the Fotodiox Pro Adapter for select Olympus Zuiko OM Lens to Nikon F-mount Camera would allow you to connect manual-focus Olympus OM-mount lenses to the Nikon D3300 DSLR camera. Do note that, as indicated under the Overview for the lens adapter, some Olympus OM lenses (typically wide angle lenses) have a shield that protrudes from the rear of the lens. This shield will prevent the lens from mounting on the adapter. Also note that you would have to use the Nikon D3300 DSLR camera in full manual mode when using this adapter.

Q: 4. Will it work for an Olympus OM 65200mm? Also, a Nikon D70?

A: This adapter allows you to use Olympus lenses on Nikon f mount cameras. So Yes you can put this adapter on the Nikon camera and then screw the lens onto the adapter. Keep in mind that you may have to use aperture priority or manual modes. Your auto mods will not work.

Q: 5. I have the lenses with the small nub on the back...is there anyway to remove this, or is this no way compatible with this adapter?

A: This adapter will fit any lens that has an OM mount.

Q: 6. Will this work with an Olympus G. Zuiko Auto-S lens going to a Fujifilm S5Pro with the Nikon F mount? Will auto focus work?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Olympus OM Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera will work with the Olympus G. Zuiko Auto-S lens going to the Fujifilm S5Pro with a Nikon F mount, but this is a manual focus adapter that maintains infinity focus, so autofocus will not work.

Q: 7. will the 1.4x corrective lens in the Fotodiox Pro OM-Nikon adapter counter-act when used with a lens turbo or metabones focal reducer? If so, I suppose the corrective lens can be removed from the fotodiox pro adapter?

A: With this adapter a 30mm become a 50mm.

Q: 8. Will this fit an olympus mount sigma 28mm f2.8 to go on a nikon d3200?

A: The answer is No and Yes. I have a Nikon D90 and the FotodioX Pro Adapter fits my Nikon so should fit yours. I really like that it allowed me to use my 135 mm olympus lens, which has been unused for the last decade. There is a plastic projection that sticks out of the camera side of the 28mm, 50mm, and 2x multiplier lenses (I own all three) making the FotodioX unusable . . . HOWEVER, if you buy something like the vivitar extension tubes then you can put the Fotodio on the camera, then the extension tube, then any of the above listed lens to include the 28mm f2.8. A problem is that this sets up the 28mm for use as a macro lens. A slight work around is to put the FotodioX, the Vivitar extension, the 2X multiplier and then the 28mm or the 50mm. This allows you to take close ups of fingers, but not hands, smiles but not faces, thus also a macro only lens. So the answer is mostly no, but partially yes in that with the extension tubes you can use the lenses as macro lenses for close ups. Perhaps a nice side use if your main purpose is to use your 135mm, but probably not worth buying just for the 28mm. Hope this helps! Thanks for everyone else's comments, I'm sure they helped me in the past and will help me in the future.

Q: 9. On the Olympus side: does this mount accept Olympus Digital ED lenses ??

A: No, the digital Olympus lenses are four-thirds mounts. This works with the original OM-series mounts for the 35mm film cameras.

Q: 10. What process is necessary for focusing the lens? Should you open the Aperture wide open for focus and then manually stop down prior to expose?

A: that's right you open the Aperture wide for you to be able to see better for focus and then you stop down for exposure and depth

[Brass] I had some old olympus Om lenses from my father laying around in the basement including a 500 mm f5.6 which is a very expensive lens. I looked on the internet but wasnt able to find one. Everybody said an adapter from olympus to nikon f would not work, but this one does! Its a bit pricey, but it really makes the lenses usable. Although the closer focusrange (5m with my tokina 28mm at f2.8) does not work. I believe you can fix that issue by removing the inner glass element but I havent tried it out yet. I'm happy that I can at least use the lenses and dont worry about these small issues. And dont believe the product reviews on @ I havent had any issues that are described there.

[0.2 lb] This is a great gadget for using old Olympus lenses on a Nikon DLSR's. Allows use of old lenses for special occasions on a Nikon DSLR. An effective way of avoiding the purchase a new lens that is seldom used. Of course, auto focus is defeated. But some applications requiring an infrequent use of a long lens, this works just fine.

[0.2 lb] Wore out my OM-1 and changed to Nikon but was mad for having so many lenses that I could not use. Found this adapter, it works great with my Nikons and saved me by not having to spend more on replacement!
