The Adapter for Canon FD Lenses to Pentax Q Mount Mirrorless Cameras from FotodioX allows a Canon FD lens to attach to a Pentax Q-series camera body. Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or "sweet spot" of the larger lens' image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.

A: There is a loss of one (1) stop. It with electronic meters is is less an issue as it would be with an all manual camera. Bump up your camera's ISO 2x from what it is now to use this adapter.

A: This would fit a Canon T7 as well.

A: Hi, Im sure your adapter will have a small lock on it. Rotate adapter to the other position and you will be able to use f stops on your fd lens.Rob

A: Yes, it will work with a FD breach lock or standard bayonet.

Q: 6. I have a pentax k1000 SLR and my dad gave me his old Canon FD 50mm 1:1.8 S.C. lens. I would love to use this. Will this fit my Pentax?

A: Yeah. As long as it is an fd to a pentax k bayonet it should work. I have a similar canon fd manual lens 50mm 1:1.4 and it works fine. it is a bit confusing at first but mount the adaptor to the lens and make sure the canon lens is NOT locked in its auto setting on it's aperture ring. If you don't, the adaptor won't go on. Since its a manual lens you also have to do stopped down photography. It takes some adjusting but you get used to it.

Q: 7. Will this work with my Canon FL 50 mm. 1.4 on a Canon 550D/Rebel T2i?

A: Hi, I believe the mount should fit, as I have used an older 50mm macro lens with the lens mount adapter but I'm not fully sure with the light metering how that works.

Q: 8. It works with the Sony FX3? Does it have infinity focus?

A: The Metabones Canon FD/FL Lens to Sony E-Mount T Adapter technically should work with the FX3 and have infinity focus. Metabones does not list which cameras work, So, it has not been tested.

A: I have a Q10 and while I've had this FotodioX devise a long time I'd never tried it on the Q10 (The Q10 is the camera that lives in the car and see very little use). And low and behold it doesn't fit properly. So I'd set up purchase rule with B & H if it doesn't work! As I should have. Cheers ReedE

[Pentax Q] Really surprised with the result. Used an old FD lens on a Pentax k. Somewhat pricey but it is understandable due to the difficulty of adapting the two mounts. The results are very sharp. This was used on a Pentax k1 and will be used on film also. The images were Sharp. I was somewhat surprised that a push pull legacy 100 to 300 mm Canon lens would produce some usable results. My father had bought the lens in the early 1980s and literally never used it. It is nice to see it getting used. Very happy with this mount. 5

[0.25 lb] I am using this adapter to mount a Canon FD 1.4. It is a solid, sturdy, and well-made adapter. I just had to unlock the aperture on the lens so it can easily fit into the adapter. No issues so far after a week or so of usage. 5

[Pentax Q] I bought two of these C-Mount adapters to use for a 3D SMD soldering system. I am using two Panasonic CCD video cameras that require a C-Mount lens. These adapters are to Canon FD, I am using two Canon macro 50mm f1:3.5 lens. The output of the cameras feed into a 3D mixer box which creates a 3D video HDMI signal that is sent to a 3D monitor. With this system I can solder the smallest SMD parts by hand without problem. The adapters were a required part of the system, and they work great. It is a solid secure lens to camera adapter. An the anodized aluminum looks great with the black lens and camera colors. 5

[0.25 lb] I am very glad that I ordered this mount, I also have a mount from Fotodiox and Dot Line is much better, It is much more solid, once it is attached it is a very tight and sturdy fit. I will be ordering another one when I get my next camera. 5
