Quickly attach and detach your camera from a Manfrotto tripod of your choice using this CAMVATE Manfrotto-Type Sliding Quick Release Camera Plate with Clamp Base. The plate has a sliding range of 5.5" for optimal balance adjustment along the clamp and features one 1/4"-20 and one 3/8"-16 mounting screw. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads along the clamp base offer space to mount articulating arms for your monitor or other accessories. Rubber pads along the plate protect the bottom of your camera from scratching, and the entire system's overall aluminum alloy construction creates a durable and lightweight mounting solution.

A: Lisa, Mine is 501HDV and the plate fit mine. BUT, I had to call and get different screws. I needed 1/4 and they sent me 3/8 . Hope this helped. Good luck..

Q: 5. Does this part fit a Vanguard SBH 300 ballhead?

A: It does. However could mount a 577 Rapid Connect Adapter to the top of that ballhead, BH #MA577. From there this plate, which is included with the 577, would work.

A: Yes, when mounted on a Canon T3i, you will still be able to open the camera's battery compartment.

A: Yes it does, the Crane 3 is compatible with 501PL style plates.

A: It doesn't fit exactly, it will be shorter but it will fit. Q: 9. will this also work on an area Swiss ball head?

A: It will not work with Arca Swiss quick release mechanism.

Q: 10. Will this plate fit on the 502HD and 504HD? I have been using the 504PLONG Plate, but have found that the long plate gets in the way when I'm trying to use the focus on the lens handheld.

A: The 501PL is short but it will interface with those two heads.

[0.665 lb] I love this so much I am getting another one! It does exactly what it is meant for, and makes switching out cameras or scopes so much easier. I like the large locking knob that's just the right size for tightening and loosening the quick release plate. 5

[0.665 lb] I used this to convert a Manfrotto pan tilt head to Arca Swiss. This worked well. It is small, so fits well. It had holes drilled that made it easy to attach to the Manfrotto head. 5

[0.665 lb] Perfect replacement/addition for my MeVideo tripod. I wanted an additional QR plate to be permanently attached to my lens rail system as to simplify the change lens/camera process. Also love the red color! 5

[0.665 lb] 2 things, #1, it's thick enough to mount a cheese rod/bar on the front or back of the plate, this adds great flexibility in configuring your setup. #2, the fact that is only a hex nut on the QR is great, I wish it was all hex nuts. I personally hate wing nuts on my rigs and I replace them all with hex bolts that I buy off of amazon. That's right, I throw these terrible wing nuts in the garbage. If you think about what you're doing with these items, you'll realize that hand tightening everything is not a great idea.. 5

[0.665 lb] This baseblate is well constructed and I LOVE the quick release aspect. My only nit pick is that I would love it if were just a TAD shorter in height. Still works great, though. 5

[5.5" / 139.7 mm] This Camvate plate and clamp are made of metal which is nice. Plate mounts to camera nicely. Also like that it’s pretty wide at 6cm. The plate is solid too and the built in levels are nice. The whole assembly holds my Nikon DSLR and big lens securely. 5

[5.5" / 139.7 mm] It's nice when you get a product that just feels good to use! The build feels solid, V- mount feels good coming on and off, and the choice to mount it vertical or horizontal is nice too. I might recommend picking up a longer cable for running power from the side, but besides that super solid product. 5
