Q: 6. Will the clamp fit through a 2.5 inch hole? My cubicle backs up to a wall, i'd have to insert the clamp into the extra cable hole in the desk.

A: It depends on the exact shape and depth of the hole. The mounting flange is just shy of 2.5 but is D shaped (to go along a wall). The flange may or may not fit into the hole as the longest distance from the corner of the D to the opposite rounded edge is closer to 3 . However the clamping depth/height may allow for the rounded portion to fit to the hole and allow you to bring the entire clamp forward so that the rear-flat part of the D can take up the diameter of the hole. If the hole is only 2.5 and the desk thickness is more than 1.5 you might not be able to fit the clamp.But if the desk is about 1.5 and the hole is a generous 2.5 you will probably be fine.

[17.195 lb] I needed a desk mount for my business and recreational computer monitor. I purchased a 32" gaming monitor suitable for both my requirements and I needed to have it mounted to my desk and adjustable for height and side to side movement. I originally planned to affix the monitor mount to the lip at the back of my desk, but found that the lip was too narrow to allow the mounting bracket a full grip on the desk. I contacted Mount - It customer support and was told that this mount is convertible to a grommet mount which requires only one hole to be drilled through the desktop, in an out-of-the way location. The idea that this mount has so multiple ways to mount to the desk is ingenious. Once installed, the mount is adjustable, up, down, sideways, forward and back and is a very handy feature, that allows movement in any direction for perfect positioning. The high quality of construction is noticeably apparent upon assembling the mount and once in place and adjusted can be further locked in place by tightening Allen screws with the provided tools. All in all, a well-designed unit that I would not hesitate to purchase again. 5

[Aluminum] My previous Mount-It! product lasted for 6 years. It still works but I wanted to buy this product to also mount my second monitor. This product is very easy to install and comes with all the parts you need to properly mount your displays. Its a very sturdy desk mount. 5

[Aluminum] We have purchased 8 Dual Articulating Arm Monitor Desk Mounts over the past year. They enable our legal staff to best utilize the space on their desk, raise the monitors to the height that best suits them, but above all see many different screen applications at the same time (because they work with many documents simultaneously). Also the "arm monitor desk mounts" is an exceptionally great price and the delivery of the equipment is fast. 5
