The Adapter for Contax G Lenses to Pentax Q Mount Mirrorless Cameras from FotodioX allows a Contax G lens to attach to a Pentax Q-series camera body. Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or "sweet spot" of the larger lens' image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.

The M42 mount became best know in the US by Pentax sometimes being referred to as the Pentax thread mount, Although Pentax did not develop it.This adapter is compatible with all M42 Universal screw mount lenses.

[3 x 3 x 1.4"] This is the th least expensive M42 lens to Pentax Q mount adapter. Focusing to infiniti seems to be no problem. I used three lenses 50mm 135mm and 28mm. Focusing was easy and sharp. M42 lenses are relatively cheap and extreemely popular. M42 mount was used from Zeiss to Pentax! I still own eight of those lenses. Very recomended adapter. Price better.... 5

[Pentax Q] This is a great way to keep your camera lenses updated also you don't have to worry about compatibility issues with future camera bodies. The USB dock with the optimization pro software is very easy to download to a pc from the Sigma website to calibrate the lens quickly. Depending on the lens you use optimization is your choice. This is one of the reasons I chose to go with Sigma lenses. This will make buying a camera lens from another manufacturer extremely difficult. 5

[Pentax Q] I use this adaptor on a Sony a7II, and it works perfectly with all may Contax N Lenses. In my opinion Contax lenses are great, at least as good as Hasselblad or Leica lenses, maybe even belter. They are made in Japan. I’m recommending this adaptor without reservation because it works and is high quality 5

[3 x 3 x 1.4"] How refreshing to find a company that actually does what you pay for.. The Fotodiox adapter allows me to mount lenses on my Pentax Q which give immense focal length due to the Q's crop factor. This is allowing me to enter the revered world of bird photography on a budget. My Sigma 500mm lens becomes a 2400mm lens. I watched this on Graham Barker and Graham Houghtons YouTube channel and they both used the Fotodiox adapter. And guess what? It works! 5

[3 x 3 x 1.4"] This adapter is great for how difficult the problem of manually focusing Contax G lenses. Is it as buttery smooth as a Contax C/Y manual focus lens? No. There is a little resistance in turning the focus ring. You can feel all the gears working. But it’s really pretty good, just a bit like a slightly stiff MF lens. It’s easy to focus accurately though. The lens fits tightly. The black adapter looks good with the champagne G lenses. I don’t know why there isn’t just a helicoid that moves and we ignore the tiny screw coupled internal focusing entirely. Kind of like the VM-E adapter or the helicoid M42 close focus adapters. 5

[0.2 lb] Well, mine worked. It is useful for attaching a Pentax 50mm 1.4 SMC to the Q-S1 as well as a Tamron 500mm mirror lens with a Pentax Adaptall K mount adapter on it. It's just a piece of machined aluminum with a steel plate attached at the K end. 5
