The Adapter for L39 Mount Lenses to Pentax Q Mount Mirrorless Cameras from FotodioX allows a L39 Mount lens to attach to a Pentax Q-series camera body. Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or "sweet spot" of the larger lens' image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.

[0.1 lb] After seeing a YouTube video about them, I purchased some Soviet-era Industar lenses to try on my Nikon D850. Given how few M39/L39 to F mount adapters there are, I just clicked the buy button when I saw this, not reading the description fully. As the description notes, this adapter is MACRO ONLY and does NOT support focusing to infinity. At first I thought the lens was broken (though it did take some lovely macro photos), and then I checked the product description again. So, for what it is supposed to do, it works very well. The ring is very, very slim, barely adding any thickness between the lens and the camera body. It's machined metal, feels solid, and I imagine I'll get a decent amount of use out of it when I do macro photography, now that I know what it's for. Having been happy with this, I'm going to purchase FotodioX's other M39/L39 to F mount adapter so I can use my Industar lenses as intended. 5

[0.1 lb] Works as advertised on Sony A7M2. I use with both a Canon 50mm f1.2 and a Komura 135mm f2.8 lenses from my old Canon 7 rangefinder film camera. Am purchasing another of these so I do not have to switch between lenses. 5

[Pentax Q] Solid satisfying build. Bought 2 for some lenses I inherited, 90mm, 85mm, 50mm, 35mm. Mounts great to my 5DMkIV but the lenses are too far from the sensor. Basically like mounting an extension tube when using with a DSLR body 5

[Pentax Q] i think i just grabbed the cheapest one. however this adapter is much more leica-ish than the micro4/3 adapters of eight years ago. lens doesn't rock around in the body even when using an old fed (russian) lens. 5

[3 x 3 x 1.2"] I LOVE FotodioX adapter and this was my fourth. I bought it to mount a classic Canon 50mm 1.2 LTM rangefinder lens on my Fuji X-Pro1. And when I first did so, the camera wouldn't focus on anything at any distance! But I remembered that I had purchased the lens and its attached Canon VI-T body at a yard sale long ago... and knew nothing about its usage history. So I compared my lens with Google Images and noticed that someone at some time must have opened the lens to clean its common rear-element fogging, and didn't reatach everything properly. So I found instructions on the web, took it apart , put it back together, and it works great! Moral of the story: If one of the awesome FotodioX adapters doesn't work properly for you, also research your lens. It might be the culprit! 5

[3 x 3 x 1.2"] While relatively inexpensive, this adapter seems well made. Original copy I received did not allow one of my LTM’s to function correctly throughout focus range, With B&H’s excellent customer service, I received a replacement copy. It fits well. Works well throughout focus range. 5

[0.1 lb] I purchased this adapter to use with a Sony A7ii and two Voigtlander lenses, a 35mm f2.5 and a 50mm f1.5, and the adapter fits properly and produces great photos with these two sharp primes. 5
