A: They're as blue as daylight. I've had good luck with them as supplements in semi-outdoor environments, no gel, and they've matched well. They'll take a CTO if you need to warm them up to match tungsten or to warm up skin-tone, but you loose a little bit of punch. If they are your only source, you should be able to balance for them pretty easily.
