The Adapter for Tamron Adaptall Lenses to Pentax Q Mount Mirrorless Cameras from FotodioX allows a Tamron Adaptall lens to attach to a Pentax Q-series camera body. Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or "sweet spot" of the larger lens' image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.

[0.25 lb] Is used to avoid stacking different adapters on an old Adaptall-2 marked Tamron lens. There is nothing to move the Ai linkage so no aperture information can be transmitted. Tolerances seem to be on point. There is no wiggle, it is easy to put on and take off and infinity focus seems to be correct. 5

[0.25 lb] Metal construction, nicely finished, clicked into place smoothly on a Tamron 500 mm mirror lens and then into the mount on a Sony a7Rv. No contacts to electronically connect the lens to the camera, so no EXIF info is recorded, but for manual Tamron Adaptall & Adaptall II lenses, this is a nice solid product 5

[0.25 lb] I have a 30+ year old Tamron macro zoom lens with an Adaptall 2 mounting ring for Pentax K. Last week I bought a D3500 from B&H. I saw this adapter on the B&H site and figured why not give it a try. I removed the Pentax adapter, put on this one for the Nikon F, and found this adapter does work with my old lens and new camera. Since this is a totally manual lens you need to run the camera in manual mode (M). You adjust the ISO setting and shutter speed on the camera. You adjust aperture and focus on the lens just like using an old 35-mm film camera. This adapter has given life to a lens I have not used for over 15 years. The adapter is what it is - it mates the old lens to the camera body. I have no complaints. Since it either works or it does not, I gave it 5 stars. 5

[Pentax Q] Simple item. Not much to say except no problem :-) Really, if simple equals good, then this is very much preferable to leaving the Adaptal-2 mount on your lens and then adding a Nikon to E-mount (or Minolta, Pentax, or whatever to E-mount) adapter. This item dispenses with the Adaptal-2 adapter and goes direct. 5

[Pentax Q] I ordered this adapter for a 1970's Tamron 300mm manual lense to use on my Nikon D7500. It solve some problems on a couple of fronts. I use this lense for bird and wildlife images as well as astrophotography. The perfect adapter for my lense to camera application. 5

[Pentax Q] This little gadget works like a charm. It made it possible for me to attach my Tamron 24mm Adaptall 2 lens to my Nikon DSLR. The lens works in manual only. You have to slow down, focus with the lens wide open, then set your shooting aperture, and, finally, release the shutter. While some may not like having to work like this, for me it was a trip down memory lane -- the way cameras used to work before auto everything. It was fun. 5
