Q: 1. Is the threaded connection on the bottom 5/8" ? I didn't see it listed on the product page.

A: the bottom of this boom arm is designed to fit into an existing mic stand, the 5/8" thread listed is at the top on the boom arm, to allow for industry standard a mic clip/holder for a microphone.

Q: 2. I want to make sure this is tall enough to reach over my monitor, I appears in the photo the section from the clamp to the elbow is equal in length to the section from the mic to the elbow, so is each section 28 inches in length or is it 28 inches from desk to mic measuring both sections together?

A: The total length of the entire arm (both sections) is 28". Samson does offer two options for longer arms with the same design. The MBA38 (B&H # SAMBA38) is 38" long and the MBA48 (B&H # SAMBA48) is 48" long. Both models are available in stock and ready to ship.

Q: 3. Sorry if this is stupid, but is it capable for a yeti?

A: Yes this will work with a blue yeti it has the same 5/8 tread to connect and it can hold the weight of the Yeti as well.

Q: 4. Would this work if I attached the flange mount to the wall? Or are the joints going to be incompatible with that 90 degree orientation change?

A: This product is desined fr table mounting in the orientation shown.

Q: 5. The boom arm is stiff by default, Is it possible to adjust the tension?

A: Use a bit of mineral oil or WD-40. The spring tension will loosen wth time. There is no tensino adjustment.

Q: 6. Regarding the 48" Boom Arm. Is each section or arm 48" long or is that the total length?

A: The total length of the MBA48 boom arm is 48".

Q: 7. What is the diameter of the flange mount?

A: We have requested this information from the manufacturer but accurate measurements are not readily available. We will post the details once we receive them.

Q: 8. What is the inside diameter of the hole through the counterweight or equivalently the outside diameter of the boom arm this is designed to slide over ?

A: The K&M 21105 Counter Weight is designed for use on one-piece K&M boom arms with a 3/8" male thread or a tube diameter 0.6" (15mm). The Counter Weight itself is made of steel, has a height of 2.36" (60mm), a diameter of 1.97" (50mm), and weighs 28.2 oz. (0.8 kg).

Q: 9. Can this be attached to a "K&M 260 Straight Microphone Stand (Black)"?

A: On the K&M 260 straight stand, removing the pole extension fromn the base would allow the boom to be inserted into the 260.

[360°] Purchased to hold my Shure MV7 in place for working at home and voiceover and it works beautifully. It's a good balance of having a stiff hold but is still easy to shape into position and swing out of the way. Aesthetically, it's very clean as well thanks to the included cable clips. 5

It maneuvers very easily and it can be easily adjusted higher or lower or even move it around like 360. This is great for my standing desk since I normally use the microphone for meetings and find myself adjusting the desk to sit or stand throughout the day or move it away or closer to me. Very easy to install and worked great with my microphone as well has a low profile so it doesn'tlook bulky on my desk. Definitely recommend for offices or streamers. 5

[Hidden Channel] Purchased these for my podcast. They are phenomenal for the price. They stay in place for the most part. Although, i was a bit surprised that they lowered when i rested my headphones on them, but, thats not where they should be rested anyways, so, that gives an idea of what would make it drop. Btw....i have a very heavy set of Executive Beats by Dre that hold batteries. Im more than pleased with them. Easy to setup, easy to adjust and they look great. Also, they have a slot and clips to hide the mic wires. All in All.....these are perfect and absolutely great for the price. Check my podcast out if ya wanna see them in action.
