This Kondor Blue Base Rig for Canon EOS R5 R6 R Blackfrom Kondor Blue Base Rig for Canon EOS R5 R6 R Blackis designed to protect, add accessory mounts, and provide a run/stop trigger for your Canon EOS R5, R6, or R camera. The bottom of this four-sided aluminum cage features an Arca-Swiss type quick release system for fast repositioning on different supports. The included top handle features a run/stop trigger for both video and still capture plus multiple accessory mounts.

When mounted, the cage maintains access to the camera's ports, slots, and buttons and is designed to eliminate the twisting of the camera within the cage. This cage features a cold shoe with a safety pin, an ergonomic grip, both top and side NATO rails, and both HDMI and USB Type-C cable clamps to prevent accidental pullouts. The 70-plus accessory threads include multiple 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, and ARRI-style anti-twist threads.

A: Unfortunately, I am not sure what you mean by "two small bosses on the bottom" of the camera plate. In any case, the Really Right Stuff Base Plate for Canon EOS R5 and R6 Mirrorless Camera has a single built-in standard threaded 1/4"-20 male mounting screw on the plate which would screw into the female-threaded 1/4"-20 tripod socket on the bottom of the Canon EOS R5 or R6 Mirrorless Digital Camera. The plate may also have an accessory female 1/4"-20 threaded socket and a QD (Quick Detach) socket for an optional QD strap on the base of the unit, but it would connect to the camera via the 1/4" tripod socket.

[Aluminum] Most cages for the Canon R5 C (and R5) block your path to change the filter in the Canon filter adapter. This cage leaves that path open. It additionally is build very solid and the quality is excellent. 5

[Aluminum] I love this cage. Been looking for a cage that would provide me a quick conversion from shooting video to shooting photos. I can go straight from the tripod and just pull the camera out to go hand held with no cage but still maintain the arca Swiss plate to put it on my gimbal then slide back into the cage where it can be in the full right, pop it off the rails with the cage for handheld mode in a snap with a quick release. just overall a great flexible system. [Arca-Type Plate] This thing is great! You will need a separate cable for the remote trigger for the eos r. You also will need to change settings on the camera but it does work great with the eos r. 5

[Aluminum] Great cage for the price, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a cage for their Canon R,R6 or R5! The Kondor Blue cage fits my R5 perfectly and allows for almost any mounting configurations neatly and without allot of hassle. The top handle breaks down and builds back up in seconds with the nato rail system. The remote trigger works flawlessly once you set the shutter button to start recording video on a full press. The cage was shipped to South Africa via DHL and I have no complaints there. 5

[Aluminum] Unlike most arca plates, this still gives you a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom for regular tripod mounts or camera slings that attach to the bottom of the camera. Also has a small loop for attaching straps for those who like to attach one side of the strap to the bottom so that bodies with large lenses hang vertically. Also has body-specific alignment pins to keep the plate straight. Had one on my R5, and got another for my R6m2 and it fit perfectly. 5
