The camera will not automatically crop as it does not know what lens is being mounted. That being said, an EF-S lens is not designed to cover a full frame sensor and you may experience heavy vignetting if you do not crop. But the adapter will mount onto the R6 and work as long as you have "Shoot w/o Lens" enabled, as the adapter is manual and will not electronically communicate with the camera.

[Canon RF] This body cap is totally unnecessary, but I'm glad I was able to get one. It's beautifully milled, totally solid and heavy (for its size). It protects your camera's sensor just like the plastic one does, but it also engages the lens mount lock just like a lens would, so you need to push the lens release button to remove it. A+ 5

[Aluminum] Well, it's a body cap. Your camera came with one, and if you needed a replacement, you could find a much cheaper option, like an OEM body cap. Why buy this? It's very attractive, solidly made, and with that big enamel Kondor Blue badge in the middle, it's free marketing for the company. Okay, unlike OEM body caps, the Kondor model actually locks which is a small but really nice feature. I have a lot of other Kondor gear, so this looks nice paired with the rest of my kit. 5

[0.25 lb] Do I need this? Hell, no. There are cheap plastic ones. But since my lenses are EF and I want to just leave the adapter on connected and secured by my Mid49 cage, I wanted this. And Kondor Blue provides me with a luxe looking cap that breaks the everything is black, what are all these pieces? routine. One of the things I love about KB. I feel like I should be wearing sunglasses indoors when I put my lenses away. 5
