This Kondor Blue Full Cage for Canon R5/R6/R - Raven Blackfrom Kondor Blue Full Cage for Canon R5/R6/R - Raven Blackis designed to protect, add accessory mounts, and provide a run/stop trigger for your Canon EOS R5, R6, or R camera. The bottom of this four-sided aluminum cage features an Arca-Swiss type quick release system for fast repositioning on different supports. The included top handle features a run/stop trigger for both video and still capture plus multiple accessory mounts.

When mounted, the cage maintains access to the camera's ports, slots, and buttons and is designed to eliminate the twisting of the camera within the cage. This cage features a cold shoe with a safety pin, an ergonomic grip, both top and side NATO rails, and both HDMI and USB Type-C cable clamps to prevent accidental pullouts. The 70-plus accessory threads include multiple 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, and ARRI-style anti-twist threads.

I see the person that reviews this item before me gave it one star because the cage shows what it does and they chose not to read the description of the item or look at the photos. [Arca-Type Plate] The single screw hole on the bottom of the R5C had been very frustrating as it allows the camera to eventually twist loose during run and gun shoots. This cage solved that problem for me since it has the two anti twist pins to keep the cage securely attached to the camera, and then has multiple screw holes on the bottom that give me more than one point of contact to whatever I attach it to. It has the added bonus of giving me more mounting points along the sides and top as well and provides a little bit of extra protection for the camera. It fits well around the R5C and didn't obstruct any buttons, battery door, or ports. 5

[Arca-Type Plate] This thing is great! You will need a separate cable for the remote trigger for the eos r. You also will need to change settings on the camera but it does work great with the eos r. 5

[2.135 lb] I finally built my proper cinema rig, and this camera cage is the perfect addition to it. The cage is extremely sturdy with no flex at all, and it has a ton of mounting options for extra gear. I love that the carry handle comes with a recording start/stop button, and that it also has a bubble level, magnetically held tools in the baseplate and a sensor plane mark/screw. The cage also has the support strut on the left of the lens rather than the right, so I can use my Meike EFTR-CL drop in filter adapter without issue, unlike with other cages. This cage costs more than the smallrig and tilta options, but it is worth the premium for those features. Also it just looks super cool! 5

[Aluminum] Great cage for the price, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a cage for their Canon R,R6 or R5! The Kondor Blue cage fits my R5 perfectly and allows for almost any mounting configurations neatly and without allot of hassle. The top handle breaks down and builds back up in seconds with the nato rail system. The remote trigger works flawlessly once you set the shutter button to start recording video on a full press. The cage was shipped to South Africa via DHL and I have no complaints there. 5
