The Adapter for Canon EF and EF-S Lens to Leica M-Series Digital Camera from FotodioX allows a Canon EF and EF-S lens to attach to a Leica M-series camera body and Ricoh M-mount A-12 module. Leica M-series cameras include the Leica M-Monochrome, M8.2, M9, M9-P, M10.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.

A: The FotodioX Canon EF and EF-S Lens to Leica M-Series adapter will work with any M-mount camera; film M-mount cameras included. Keep in mind that EF-S lenses will vignette on 35mm film cameras. The adapter will allow you to retain focus at infinity, so shouldnt affect focus.

A: No, the FotodioX Adapter for Canon EF and EF-S Lens to Leica M-Series Digital Camera, B&H #FOPLMACE • MFR # EOS-LM, listed above does not have 6-Bit M-coding. According to FotodioX's website, the MFR SKU number for their adapter with 6-Bit M-coding would be MFR # EOS-LM-6BT. Unfortunately, as of the date/time of this reply, we do not yet carry FotodioX's MFR # EOS-LM-6BT lens adapter in our inventory.

Q: 4. I have a zeiss ZE 50mm with the iris controlled by the camera. Not the manual Nikon or ZM versions where the iris in on the lens. Will this adapter allow control of the iris even though its not physically on the lens?

A: As I know for Leica M system, there is no electronic aperture or even no any electronic contact between lens and carmera. Hence, I think this adapter (or others) could not help you.

A: You will not be able to change the aperture on your Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 L IS USM using this manual Vello EF to L-mount adapter. This is due to current EF glass requiring electrical communication and control over the lens in order to change its aperture, which this adapter lacks.

[Leica M] I use this adapter on my ids mark 2,I don't use the camera for clients but it makes a kick butt carry around camera with the 7 leica r lenses. this is a really big bang for your buck item 5

[Leica M] I picked up the Vello Canon EF Lens to Leica L-Mount Camera Lens Adapter yesterday, and it fits my Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K FF and Canon lenses perfectly. The build quality is solid, and there's no wobble at all, which is great. Some reviews mentioned that the lens jumps all over the place, but that was not my experience at all. I wonder if those people may have gotten a defective adapter. It’s important to keep in mind that this adapter only works for manual lenses, so autofocus will not work as the lens will not communicate with the camera. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it! 5
