Q: 9. How do I set the start DMX channel? It seems to default to channel 1 as the start with no way to change to another number. I tried the app also but no DMX settings in there. (I have several of these I purchased from you but the manual doesn't say and I cannot find the information online!). Thank You!

A: This is a copy of the manual. If you have any other concerns please contact Savage directly. DMX Operation Connect the DMX output to the Savage RGB Pro Panel and turn the panel on. The panel should automatically detect the controller and switch to DMX mode. The panel display will say: “DMX 512 with RGB..” Below the readout, the channel information will display. Channel 1: Center Channel 2: Red Channel 3: Green Channel 4: Blue The DMX512 will default to channel one, but four channels are supported. Set channel one to any number above zero (we recommend the 50% position). The panel’s functions supported in DMX mode are RGB, hue/saturation/intensity and CCT. Red, green and blue can now be controlled individually. To change modes. Press the “Menu/Intensity” button one time. The menu will display the following: DMX 1/SW 2/R 3/G 4/B 1/SW 2/I 3/S 4/H 1/SW 2/BRI 3/CCT The number before each letter is the channel number for the selected function. The first line is the RGB mode and when selected will allow the user to make red, green and blue adjustments. The second line allows the user to adjust the intensity, saturation and hue of the selected color. The third line allows the user to switch to CCT mode. To change modes, rotate the “Menu/Intensity” clockwise until the desired mode is highlighted. Press the “Intensity/Menu” button again and the light will switch to the selected mode and be controllable with the DMX contro

Q: 10. Can these lights be powered on and off by the power source alone? Or do you need to physically turn them on each time? If I mount them to an overhead grid can I power them with a light switch?

A: You may set the Nanlite PavoSlim 120C RGB LED Panel on a TRUSS and control them via DMX or CRMX all at the same time as well as Nnlink app. The Nanlite PavoSlim 120C RGB LED Panel has a wired option to be plugged into power outlet or being powered by V-mount battery.

[Aluminum] First off, I highly recommend these lights! I’m a youth speaker for high school students and needed to transition to virtual presentations. These lights bring in a lot of character to my backdrop. I like how you can switch from bi-color (3200-5600) and colors. If I need more light on my face, I put one off to the side in front of me and put a diffuser in. The brightness adjusts in 1% increments which gives me more control over how I want to look on camera. Personally, I don’t like ring lights and feel these panels light your face more fully without having that weird ring in your eye. I’ve attached pictures to show how I have them light my background. I’ll let you be the judge with the pictures but I love how they make my studio look. I put these out at almost full power to give you a perspective of how bright they can be. Normally I have the blue light for the background at 40% and it’s plenty bright. I also like using one on white paper when I’m drawing or writing to make the paper pop more. Having the other two in different colors definitely gives more depth for the backdrop.

If you’re like me and have a virtual studio, I feel these lights can definitely help you give more options to how you want your background to look. They come in a very nice case with everything you need. The app is straightforward to use and allows you to control the lights from your phone which makes things much easier for me when I’m changing the look of my setup. You also can do different with the lights as well (flickering, etc)

I would definitely get them again and am very happy with the way they make my virtual setup pop more. If you’re contemplating getting them, I hope this review was helpful in your decision.

Final recommendation: Don't use a fake background! Make your background how you want it. It's more real way. My two cents!

[Proprietary] This was great for on-the-go, in the field (with no electrical outlets) documentary shoot! Great output for a very run-and-gun shoot. I love my aperture lights, but this allowed for quick set up and tear down, which is incredibly valuable for the shoots I do

[48] This is a great LED panel light for the price. Solid build although plastic housing. The effects with the RGBWW are just a great bonus. Comes with the diffuser and egg crate too - perfect!
