A: The battery inside the Gossen Digisix 2 Ambient Light Meter uses very little power, so it is not imperative to remove the battery from the meter. However, if it eases your concern, if you will not be using the meter for more 3-6 months or longer and you have a safe space to store the battery, then you may remove the battery for your convenience.

A: I never had a Sekonic meter, the DigiPro F2 was my first light meter, and I used to meter at most time about flash metering, and the DigiPro F2 for me is very usefull.

But does the job. only 40 grams ready to go. comes with a small protctive sock, and a CR2032 battery. Those last a long time, but I carry a spare just to have one) (CR2032s are hard to find if you arent in America [where Walgreens carry them] and arent near a camera store [that you know of...] 5

I have used many light meters in the last sixty years, many of them Gossen, and this tiny marvel might be the best. If you don’t need spot or flash, this might be the best meter out there. All its functions are easy to find and use, and the bonus clock, timer and thermometer have all come in handy. 5

Great alternative to Goodman handle for flashlights. Well made, holds light stable on hand, frees up hand instead of having to hold the light. A bit tight but a c cell light can be squeezed through the neoprene tunnel. Works perfect with 2 cell but also does hold my 3 cell light well. Actually purchased a second one for my son to use. 5

You can't beat the convenience of this little pocket light meter. There are times when I want to use an incident light meter, and this Gossen Digisix 2 fits the bill perfectly. Either for use with a camera that does not have a light meter, or when you want an incident rather than a reflected light reading, this thing seems to be the ticket. 5
