A: The flash does not have a radio transmitter built in. The radio is only a receiver.It can control using the Infrared system.

A: Yes you can, the extra battery magazine is called the Nissin BM-02 battery magazine. See the attached item

Q: 5. I received this unity and instead of the screw-down connector it has a button. It really wobbles on the stand. The photos showed the screw-down type seen in the product photos above. How can I get the type with the screw-down connector?

A: The Sony Version of this flash comes only with a button as this is the Sony deigned foot on a flash. It is not offered in a screw down version. Only the Canon and Nikon are offered in a screw down version.

Q: 6. Is it possible to use rear curtain sync when flash is off camera?

A: It's not possible to use rear curtain flash with this flash using the Air1 on the Sony A7R2. The flash mode on this camera needs to be on wireless in order to activate the flash and Air1. When the camera is set to rear curtain this combination will not work. In order for rear curtain flash to work on the Sony A7R2 Pocket Wizards need to be used and they will work perfectly in this mode and manual mode.

Q: 7. Multi interface shoe means that this will work on a Sony A7S without the need for an adapter right? Anyone use it on an A7? Have seen reviews of the Nissin i40 on the Sony A7 but not this one.

A: This is a great flash and the multi-interface shoe is the proper shoe type for the Sony A7 series cameras.

Q: 8. When will HSS be available? Any time table yet? Anyone having problem with inconsistency of flash settings?

A: Good question - I have not found any indication of when HSS might be available. I can say from owning this unit, it works beautifully at 1/250 and below with my XT2. But I cannot do HSS with it and would very much welcome that addition.

Q: 9. Does this fit the micro four third on the Bmpcc OG camera?

A: Yes, it will fit any MFT camera.

Q: 10. Any chance of Nissin producing an external trigger for other flashes of the Sony system, i.e. Sony flashes, Nissin I40,?

A: It is possible and my guess that they will produce the Di700A for other brand cameras but as of now it is only for the Sony cameras and there is no information as to if or when.
