[0.225 lb] Just got this adapter and probably mine is newer than what the other reviewer got. I have the red dot for both sides (Nikon & Leica) and both flanges are very smooth and well machined. The Leica side does the desired click when it's in place. My 35 Years Old Nikkor 28mm works like a charm on my Leica M now.

[0.225 lb] It's one solid piece of metal and works well. The thing to keep in mind is, since it moves the focal plane of the lens further away, your C-Mount lenses will be extreme macro lenses (which is what I was looking for).

[Brass] Relatively slim, unobtrusive and easily mounted, this allows me to use many vintage lenses for my camera for specific results I otherwise would not have at my disposal.

[C-Mount] The latest Fotodiox Nikon F Pro Lens Adapter for Leica M-Mount that I just purchased is very much improved over an earlier version Fotodiox Nikon F to Leica M-Mount that I purchased a couple of years ago. The Nikon F bayonet flange is a new design with retention springs similar to what is inside a Nikon camera lens mount. The result is much smoother engagement and removal of the lens from the adapter. Yet the retention of lens in the adapter is more secure. The Leica M-Mount side of the adapter is now one piece with the aluminum body and has a hard anodize finish. This seems to mount onto Leica bodies smoothly. All in all, a much improved lens adapter for the same price as the earlier version, and at this price, very much a quality unit at a bargain price through B&H.

[Brass] I bought this in order to use my old Nikon SLR lenses on my Leica M3. With this combination, I will have to guess the focus distance which will not be that hard for wide-angle lenses. I already have a Leica multi-focal length finder which has a setting for 35mm lenses. I was amazed at how well made this adapter is. It is easy to mount a Nikon lens on it and to mount the adapter on my Leica. It fits perfectly.

[C-Mount] The item works very well. I put it on the lens, then on the camera and I was shooting immediately. It's like the lens itself is a C-mount.
I chose this adaptor over a slightly cheaper on because it's made of brass and not aluminum. I figure with my heavy lens that the aluminum might some day start sagging and brass wouldn't. (Just a guess on my part.)

[C-Mount] The Fotodiox adapter has much nicer finish and tighter tolerances than the cheap adapters available from China through @, yet it costs far less than the Leica or Voigtlander R to M adapers. There is absolutely no wobble when lenses are mounted, and I trust the latches not to fail. Great quality for a moderate price.

[C-Mount] Well made, and engineering tolerances are very close in deed. Attaching the adapter to a Nikon lens has a very distinctive tight click. And vice versa attaching the adapter to the Leica camera has a very distinct click with very tight fitting connection. Up to Leica standards.

[C-Mount] This is just a well made adapter that was just what I needed to use old Nikon lenses with a night vision system.  Perfect C-mount threads and works with the lenses flawlessly.  Their website explains the difference between this version and the G-type version and is worth checking out if you have questions.  Solid product.
