Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this available for the right ear, or only for the left? I'm seeking something like this with a 4-pin male XLR with right side speaker and mic.

A: Eartec does not currently offer a right ear version of the Cyber headset.

Q: 2. Does this fit the Eartec UltraPak?

A: It does not. The headset for the UltraPak is this: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1269395-REG/eartec_hubcyb_cyber_lightweight_plug_in_headset.html

Q: 3. Are this for sure having a noise cancelling mic or this is a mistake?

A: Yes, the Eartec UltraLITE Dual-Ear Master Headset does feature a noise-cancelling microphone. This headset is intended for use as the Master headset for an Eartec UlraLITE Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom System. The Master headset features built-in electronics to control up to four wireless remote headsets such as the Eartec UltraLITE Single-Ear Remote Headset with Rechargeable Lithium Battery (B&H # EAULSR).

Q: 4. Can a dual ear headset be added to a set of single ear units?

A: You can add a dual ear remote model to a single ear system. Please note the final total count of your system would have to equal either 1 master headset and up to 4 remote headsets, or 1 Hub mini and up to 8 total remote headsets. If you are uncertain about your system, please contact our Pro Audio Department for more information.

Q: 5. Hello. I am curious and very much a luddite. Is this headset compatible with iMac/Ipads that connect via lightening? Thanks!

A: The JLab JBuds GO Work On-Ear Wireless/Wired Headset can be connected wirelessly via Bluetooth, or they can use a wired connection to devices that support either 3.5mm or USB-C audio output. For most people, the most practical connection will be Bluetooth. If you prefer a wired connection, and you are using an older iPhone or iPad with a Lightning connection (not USB-C), you can use the apple Lightning headphone adapter (BH #APLAADAP).

Q: 6. Is this Remote Headset RF bandwidth system 1728 GHz compatible with the 1.9 GHz set (UltraLITE Single-Ear Remote headsets)?

A: Yes. This Eartec UltraLITE Dual-Ear Remote Headset - USA is compatible for use with the Eartec UltraLITE Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom which operates within the 1920 to 1930 MHz frequency band and the system bandwidth (width of the frequency band) is 1.728 GHz.

Q: 7. is the blue button on the master supposed to be recessed? Does it have any function? When my charger is not red or green does that indicate a full charge?

A: Hello I'm not an eartech rep so maybe they can give exact anwsers. In either of my sets the rubber button on the earcup is used for the power and pairing on the remote headsets. On the master headsets however the power button is a physical rocker switch on the bottom of the earcup and the rubber button is shaved down but does still function as the pair button. Not sure about the light ont he carger. When mine are charging the led is red and when its done it stays lit green . Hope this info helps... best wishes! IMHO: Overall a great product! Saves our productions time and money.

Q: 8. I'd like to add a new Eartec headset to my existing set. What is involved with pairing a new headset to the the master unit?

A: The fully wireless UltraLITE system can be used with up to 5 headsets while the HUB system can be used with up to 8 wireless headsets and 1 additional wired headset. Adding a headset to an existing system is fairly simple. Eartec provides written instructions and tutorial videos that explain the procedure. Here is a link to the main information page where you can select the system you have and then view the instructions: http://eartec.com/instruction/

Q: 9. I need to be able to communicate between instructor and student in tandem seated sailplanes. will the dual-ear Eartec ultralite headset work? What do I need?

A: Not exactly sure what that entails. I used these when filming marching band competitions. We have one person up ontop of the press box and the other on the field. So approximately 70-100 yards of distance. Never a problem. Sounds as clear as talking on the phone.

Q: 10. Is it an XLR connection? Male Female?

A: This headset is designed to work with the Eartech Simultalk 24G, which have proprietary connectors.

[3%] I do live music production and we were looking for an economically smart solution for open coms. We went with the three unit set from Eartec. They work surprisingly well, and the batteries last forever and charge very quickly as well. No wires!
I wanted to add a dual ear unit to our existing system, as I was using an ear plug for my open ear during performances. This dual gave me the ear protection I needed and is nice and loud.
One note when considering this item, eartec had to contact me to give send the correct unit that works with the existing system we had. They were very easy to work with and helpful.
Highly recommended.

[Mono] I use my iPhone cabled headsets on the field while filming all the time. sometimes it's really hard to hear. I tried this headset and it was so much louder I had to bring the volume down. Now I leave the Apple ones in the car.

[20 Hz to 20 kHz] This set is much better than the ultralight version that Ear-Tek makes the cabling is a bit larger and seems to handle the day to day wear that the thinner cables in the ultralight version seemed to fail, but this set is still very comfortable and light for backstage wear

[Right Side] Since I retired, I video conference only infrequently. I needed a new headset to replace one that had worn out but did not want to spend a lot. I was surprised by the quality of this headset. Both the input and output are quite good (particularly for my needs) and, as others have noted, the headset is good-sized. I have a fairly large head and it fits me quite comfortably. Definitely an excellent value.

[Plastic] I Use this product while running sound at my church. It allows me to stay in Contact with the Video Director. It's light weight and has a good length to the cable. Volume is good on it as well. Ear peace is a little small, but very comfortable.

[50 Hz to 20 Hz] I work as camera operator at a few local TV studios here in NYC. If you're looking for a fairly-priced 5-pin XLR headset to call your own (to avoid sharing and sanitizing during cold/flu germ season), then look no further. Eartec checks all the boxes, from price to build quality and comfort.

[50 Hz to 20 Hz] We bought this to use for communication between camera person and director in recording/streaming video of worship services. It is being used with a 1990 era Telex intercom system. It does a fantastic job of reducing ambient noise and the microphone produces clear sound. Much better than the headset it replaced. So good we bought a second one. An excellent product.
