The FotodioX Fujica X Pro Lens Adapter for C-Mountis a high quality adapter that allows you to mount a Fujica X mount lens to a C-mount camera body. It features a brass construction with a stainless steel finish as well as the ability to focus to infinity. This works with a leaf spring system for a secure attachment of the lens to the adapter.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic lens control and functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. You can utilize aperture priority mode in combination with stop-down metering for automatic exposure control on your camera.

Q: 1. is there a lens in it? otherwise it must seriously vignette the picture?

A: Yes it will seriously vignette the picture, but if you use a lens that has a 2x built in and you use a 1.4 multiplier, the image will be the proper size. This introduces a bit of softness, to which I apply 50% sharpening in Adobe Premiere giving me good results. I chose this setup because I really missed the motorized zoom of old ENG cameras, and I wanted it on my Sony FS100. I powered the zoom on the Fujinon 14x Lens with a 7.2Volt Sony battery mounted on a battery mount that I got from B&H. I mounted the whole thing on an old Ikegami plate (to support the lens) and constructed a metal plate across the top to hold a handle and the shotgun mic.

A: From our research that vintage camera does have a C-Mount. However how well any adapter and modern lens will work on a Vintage piece of gear is something you would need to test out to see the results. Since this is an EF to C-Mount adapter it should work, but we are not aware of any specific testing done between the two.

A: This is a manual adapter.

A: The stops on this adapter are clicked.

Q: 5. Do Canon EF-S lens also fit on this adapter?

A: Sorry no, a EF-S lens will not work with this adapter. I suspect it is because the rear glass element of the lens will hit the aperture blades.

Q: 6. Is this for Fuji AX mount lenses, is that what Fujica X Pro means?

A: This is to adapt older Fujica 35mm SLR lenses to modern Fujifilm X Mirrorless cameras, such as the X Pro 2.

Q: 7. I am about to put my Rokinon Cine Primes on my Bolex H16 and shoot some Tri-X 200 asa. Has anyone tried this? Is there a calculation for setting exposure to adjust for using the c mount to eos ef Canon adapter? If no one responds I will be happy to post my results.

A: The iris on this adapter is not needed for use with manual lenses like the Rokinons. You just use the manual iris on the Rokinon lens while leaving the iris of the adapter at its widest opening. The adapters iris is meant to compensate for loss of the iris control of a Canon EOS EF lens. Now in the digital world you could just set this up and see the effect of the adapter iris immediately on screen. However, since you are shooting film, we suggest doing what a professional would do before principal photography and that would be to shoot an exposure test. (there is no available exposure calculation chart for this adapter.) Line up a shot of a person holding a grey card plus a notation of what the f/stop is that you have determined by using a light meter. You can use a clapperboard or a clipboard to display the card and the f stop. (Do yourself a further favor and have it held steady in the frame held by a grip stand.) I would shoot at a variety of f/stops so that I would know what was happening if I was to shoot at those f/stops. As you can see, we strongly suggest sacrificing a roll of film this way so that you know you are getting correct exposure once you start shooting for real.

Q: 8. Would this work on a Sony A7RIV and the 2/3 Fujinon Anamorphic ???

A: I am not familiar the lens you are referencing but the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter B4 to Sony E Mount is designed to adapt B4 mount lenses to Sony E mount camera, so it will work with your Sony a7R IV.

Q: 10. B4 puts image 48 mm behind flange. Will this mount put image at C standard sensor plane?

A: yes the purpose of this adapter is mounting the lens at it's correct flange distance

[3 x 3 x 1.75"] The item works very well. I put it on the lens, then on the camera and I was shooting immediately. It's like the lens itself is a C-mount. I chose this adaptor over a slightly cheaper on because it's made of brass and not aluminum. I figure with my heavy lens that the aluminum might some day start sagging and brass wouldn't. (Just a guess on my part.) 5

[3 x 3 x 1.75"] This is just a well made adapter that was just what I needed to use old Nikon lenses with a night vision system. Perfect C-mount threads and works with the lenses flawlessly. Their website explains the difference between this version and the G-type version and is worth checking out if you have questions. Solid product. 5

[3 x 3 x 1.75"] If you still have any Fujinon lenses kicking around, this is a great addition. I have a few older, sharp lenses, and I can use them on my new A6000. Item seems well made-lenses go on and off just like the Sony lenses. So far, so good. It's a no-brainer. 5

[0.15 lb] The Fotodiox adapter has much nicer finish and tighter tolerances than the cheap adapters available from China through @, yet it costs far less than the Leica or Voigtlander R to M adapers. There is absolutely no wobble when lenses are mounted, and I trust the latches not to fail. Great quality for a moderate price. 5

[3 x 3 x 1.75"] You can't go wrong with this little adapter. I'm able to use some old Fujinon lenses, which is kind of fun. The build quality seems fine, and the fit to the A6000 and to the old lenses is excellent-nice and tight, with a good click when connected. I was a little hesitant wrt the price, but there's no need to be. Get it and start using some of your old lenses. Definately recommended. 5

[C-Mount] Does exactly what it says it will do - converts older B4 ENG-style lenses for use on Sony E-mount cameras. I've got a couple of old lenses that have been collecting dust - this gives me the option of pulling them out and using them again. You'll need a lens with a 2x extender to make up for the difference in imager size. But, these lenses still have some life left in them! 5
