The Tokina 21mm T1.5 Cinema Lens EF Mount Feetwith a Canon EF mount and focus scales marked in feet provides an image circle that more than covers full-frame sensors, and it is designed to provide sharp images even when recording images at 8K resolution. This 21mm focal length lens shares the same form factor, lens gear position, focus rotation, and front barrel diameter as the other Tokina Cinema Vista prime lenses. This makes on-set lens changes a fast and efficient operation.

It features a maximum T stop of 1.5, which is useful when shooting in low-light situations or when you want to capture that exceedingly shallow depth of field look. The 9-bladed iris provides round, out-of-focus highlights for a natural-looking bokeh. The Cinema Vista Prime lenses are designed to minimize focus breathing and feature geared, manual focus and iris rings. Markings on both sides of the lens barrel make it readable from either side of the camera.

The 21mm T1.5 Canon EF mount prime lens focuses images on a sensor with full 8K resolution and features a 46.7mm image circle, which easily covers standard-sized full-frame sensors.

The use of a 9-blade iris produces a smooth, round appearance to out-of-focus specular highlights. The iris also produces a pleasing bokeh, referring to natural-looking out-of-focus areas of the image. The iris is manual and features smooth movement without click stops for smooth exposure adjustments while recording.

The lens has markings on both sides of the barrel, making it easy to read focus and aperture settings from behind or from either side of the camera.

The lens shares the same front lens diameters and gear positioning on the focus and iris rings as the other lenses in the series, making lens switching quick and convenient.

It is designed to minimize variations in the angle of view while focusing, a phenomenon known as focus breathing. This feature is extremely important while pulling focus, especially on static shots, where focus breathing is more noticeable.

The lens features threading on the front of the lens to accommodate 112mm screw-on filters. This feature allows the camera operator to add filters over the lens without taking up a filter stage in a matte box.

[Full Frame] In over 40 years of industrial and feature film making, the Irix primes are my favorite series of prime lenses, favored over the big name lenses that cost 4-5x. They are fast, sharp, have very natural-looking out-of-focus highlights, and the sealing is a bonus for those like us, who shoot a lot of exteriors. Hopefully Irix will soon offer something in the 65mm-85mm range so we can relegate our current short telephoto to the B camera lens set.

[112 mm] Think Canon cinema lenses are hype? Think again. This lens is a game changer. I have the 50mm L series f1.2 and this lens blows it away in sharpness, accuracy of focus and several other areas. Best purchase I've made for a while.

[10 x 8 x 7.2"] We produce travel and tourism footage and had been working with the canon cine 14, 24, 50, 85, and 135 for about a year. Just picked up the 35 and it has become our main workhouse lens. Most of our shots are a couple enjoying a scenic location and this lens sure is a beauty. Highly recommend this lens and the Canon cine primes.

[T22] I needed something longer than my 55 but shorter than my 85 so this is just right for me. Amazing wide open but I recommend a large production monitor to stay on top of the focus, DoF this shallow is gorgeous but you can't take your eye off it for a second.

[T22] One the most-used lenses on a super 35mm sensor, the 35mm CN-E from canon has been long in coming. I think it was worth the wait. This lens ads the mechanics and housing of a true cinema lens, and improves noticeably in terms of contrast, sharpness and chromatic aberration compared it's still-camera-L-series cousin. Contrast is excellent wide open, and corner sharpness is exceptional throughout the range. The small amount of CA is largely limited to the extreme corners on a full frame camera, and is essentially negligible on super35 or other cropped sensors. I only wish the 50mm was this good.

[46.7 mm] This lens is a beast! Shooting wide open is tack sharp, the size is huge - and night shots are unlike anything Ive ever seen. We shot with it on a C100 Mk II, C300 Mk II, and RED Dragon and when comparing the footage it was hard to tell the difference from the 100 vs 300. This lens will make your camera shine, especially if its a Canon Cinema series. That and on-set our clients have noticed it and are very impressed. This will elevate your productions to another level.

[1:9.38] I had the original set of these cine lenses...then cometed my set with this 35mm. What a fantastic lens. The quality and build is superb. I picked these over the Ziess set...and I'll never look back!

[46.7 mm] I am in production now, using this lens and it's amazing, solid, sharp, yet naturally soft. I'm using it with the EOS C300 Mark II so in combination with the camera, it produces such a beautiful aesthetic straight out of the box. The lens is so well crafted. No breathing at all. It has a great weight to it. My first Canon Cine Prime Lens purchase and thus far, am totally satisfied. I will definitely be investing in more. The 35mm is a great choice for a first purchase as you can use this prime for so many applications. You could shoot an entire feature with just a 35mm if need be. I don't scoff at the price either. Artist's tools do cost. I'm a firm believer that you truly do get what you pay for.
