Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you change the direction of the mic boom so the head set is on the left or right ear?

A: No, it's left ear only. The boom will only go up or down. It will not spin around.

Q: 2. Can I pair this master with my remote HD version?

A: You can, however you should contact Eartec first as they may have to do some pre-programming so that they will communicate. 800-399-5994 or info@eartec.com

Q: 3. Will this work with 2 Wire and 4 Wire Clearcom systems?

A: The Eartec HUB Interface for ClearCom Systems (BH # EAHUBINCC) works with ClearCom 2-wire and 4-wire systems.

Q: 4. I want to know how to add another group of this same, I have 3 units and I want to add one more, can you add there are some settings?

A: If you are only going to have 4 you can simply add another unit you will need to clear the programming and then reconnect all 3 units to the master. If you are going to have more than 4 you will need to purchase the hub and you can go up to 7 units.

Q: 5. I have the 4 pack eartec headsets, that work with master headset and 3 slaves. For the hub interface to clearcom, will I also need to buy the Hub? So will I need both the hub and hub interface?

A: Yes, you will need to use the HUB (B&H # EAHUB) and the HUB interface together. The HUB works in the same manner as the master headset you already have, so it replaces the master headset. The HUB can be used with eight wireless UltraLite remote headsets and one wired headset.

Q: 6. Can the master headset be linked to the Hub?

A: No. The Eartec HUB Mini Duplex Transceiver Base cannot be used with a wireless master headset like the Eartec UltraLITE Single-Ear or Dual-Ear Master Headset (B&H # EAULSM or EAULDM). The HUB can be used with up to 8 wireless remote headsets like the Eartec UltraLITE Single-Ear and Dual-Ear Remote Headsets (B&H # EAULSR and EAULDR), and it also has a connection for an additional wired headset. The master headset has the same electronics as the HUB built into the earcup and it functions like the HUB to control up to 4 wireless remote headsets.

Q: 7. We currently have a wired Clearcom system. We’d like to add some wireless headsets to that existing system. If we purchase this and the Eartec 4 pack headset this should add that functionality?

A: Yes, you can use this HUB Interface for Clearcom with up to 8 of their ULTRAlite headsets, to add wireless stations to your existing Clearcom hard-wired system.

Q: 8. The headset in the photo does not show the “HD” designation on the ear cup. I have two HD units and both have the HD designation. I want to make sure this is not the “classic” version since the two are not compatible with each other. So is this the “classic” or “HD” version?

A: This is not the HD version, it is the 'classic' version.

Q: 9. Is it possible for me to run a feed from my mixing console into the Eartec Hub using this interface?

A: No. This Eartec HUB Interface is intended specifically for use to connect a Clear-Com wired intercom system with an Eartec HUB intercom system.

Q: 10. Can I pair this remote with my Eartec HUB6S (USA)??

A: Yes, the Eartec UltraLITE Single-Ear Remote Headset with Rechargeable Lithium Battery is compatible for use with the Eartec HUB. The HUB can accommodate up to eight wireless remote headsets and one wired headset.

[Controls: Cable] I bought this to add another station to the system I already had.  The crew uses these during shows and theyre clear and dependable. I bought extra batteries to change at intermission.

[3%] Had the 3-set version and recently added a fourth headset.  So far, these have worked very well.  The only criticism is that is hard to hear you own voice.  In other words, by hearing yourself, you get the feeling everything is working.  But there is not volume control for hearing your own voice; only for hearing the voices of others.  This is a minor problem.  Headsets have been great!

[150 Ohms] This set is much better than the ultralight version that Ear-Tek makes the cabling is a bit larger and seems to handle the day to day wear that the thinner cables in the ultralight version seemed to fail, but this set is still very comfortable and light for backstage wear

[Mono] I work at a church and alot of people complained that our telex headsets where uncomfortable after long periods of time. I bought a couple of these and have be very impressed with the quality. They arnt great for moving around alot in though because they can slip off your head because they are not that tight of a fit.
