Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. HiDoes this adapter provides infinity focus with the lens RE. Auto-Topcor 1:1.4 f= 58mm ?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Exakta, Auto Topcon Lens to Canon EOS EF Camera Adapter allows infinity focus.

Q: 2. Will this adapter work on the fuji xt-3? I believe I may have purchased the wrong adapter.

A: Yes it should. This allows you to mount Exakta/Topcon mount lens to a Fujifilm X-mount camera. The X-T3 is an X-Mount Camera.

Q: 3. Dear Sirs, has the adapter any cause by the focal width of the connected lense (increase of focal width)?

A: This adapter will not affect the focal length or angle of view of the lens, no. The optic in the adapter is simply there so that the lens will retain focus at infinity.

Q: 4. what is meant by Stop-down mode ?

A: The adapter does not transmit any electronic information between the lens and the camera. With this adapter the lens will not autofocus. Stop-down mode refers to, changing the f/stop on the lens to get a correct exposure. And to change the f/stop you do this from the ring on the adapter.

Q: 5. Intending on using this to pair my Sigma35mm1.4 DG A mount lens to a Nikon FE film camera body. What camera functions do I lose?

A: The FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Sony A Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera is a manual adapter. You will have no control of the lens from the camera. To change the light coming in tfrom the lens the adapter has a diagram. So you do not change the f/stop. And because of the flange distance the adapter has a 1.4x lens in it. So any lens on it will be 1.4x times longer.

Q: 6. Will this work on a Nikon D3300 with an Jupiter 8 lens?

A: As long as the lens is m42 mount it should be fine. Please note though that you will have to use the lens on full manual mode, including focus.

Q: 7. When using this adapter wit a Topcon lens on a Sony a7iii, do you have to use a separate light meter to set your exposure or will the camera’s built in meter work?

A: As you turn the aperture ring on the Topcon lens, you will see the exposure get lighter or dark. The same would apply when changing the shutter speed in the camera. The camera would need to be set to "Shoot w/o lens" and would need to be used in manual exposure mode.

Q: 8. Will it adapt a Hasselblad 80mm lens to a D7000 with full focus range

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Adapter for Hasselblad V Lens to Nikon F-Mount Camera will allow you to use a Hasselblad 80mm lens on a Nikon D7000 with the ability to focus to infinity.

Q: 9. Hasselblad V lenses (C,CF,CFE,CFi) have to be re-cocked by a V body, since it uses a leaf shutter. Is there a mechanism on this adapter to do just that, or would you have to remove the lens, re-cock manually, and reattach after each exposure?

A: When you use this you only adjust the aperture. Your camera handles the shutter. There is no way for a Nikon to connect to the mechanical shutter in a Hassy lens. The only thing you can do is use the preview slide on the lens to open the aperture wide open to see what you are doing then slide it back when shooting.

Q: 10. Does this work with Voigtländer f mount

A: Yes it works with F mount to M mount cameras

[Nikon F] Well built, fits nice and tight with authoritative click. I use it to mount several Nikon lenses I have. I also have a number of Leica lenses but this gives me a little experimental option using the Nikon lenses.

[Yes] Finally I can use my amazing Topcon lenses with the FS700! This adapter does nothing special, but there's no play in the connections and the image quality is fantastic. Of course it doesn't allow for adjusting focus or the iris with the camera, but neither do Topcon cameras- they're purely manual and it's erxactly what you will have to do with these lenses using this adapter.

[Nikon F] Giving a new lease on life to some very old equipment. It is great to use the old lenses again.

[Yes] I'm not wise in the nuances of cameras, so I can't offer any insight with respect to focal points and whatnot, but I can attest to the fact that, thanks to this little adapter, I'm getting great images with my Canon EOS matched with my old telephoto lens.

[0.24 lb] This is just a well made adapter that was just what I needed to use old Nikon lenses with a night vision system.  Perfect C-mount threads and works with the lenses flawlessly.  Their website explains the difference between this version and the G-type version and is worth checking out if you have questions.  Solid product.

[Yes] This adapter provides a very reliable support for Exakta glass. Important as some Exakta lenses are fairly heavy.

[Yes] For some reason, Exakta adapters for m4/3 seem tough to make. I've tried several in the under $30 range, and had to send them all back. Not true for Leica or OM adapters. This one is nicely made, tight (but not too tight) at both ends, and allows me to use the sensational Topcon lemses on my E-M1.

[0.24 lb] I bought an old Komura lens and wanted to try it out on my Canon 5D MkIII. I was surprised to find an adapter for such an unusual mount and I am pleased with how well it fits.

[0.24 lb] Bought to use with an old Meyer-Optik Grlitz 50mm f/2.9 trioplan and my micro four thirds camera. Was slightly worried about the Exakta mount not working properly but it snapped into place immediately! MFT mount fits snugly too. I shouldn't have expected anything less from Fotodiox, they make great stuff.
